AMERICANS we don't take Ice Hockey the least bit serious....

We own the entire sports world with the best athletes... NBA/NFL

Until our neighbors up North can ever hand us a defeat in any of the 2 real sports... its all just for shits and giggles

lol...funny you mention UFC and Boxing.

More, faster knock outs in hockey then both of those combined.

UFC is loaded with Canadian talent.....and who really considers UFC a sport?

The US population is over 10 times the Canadian with the majority of your states being much further south than Canada. Which allows you to play football longer....

Basketball is played by the Whole World...North America, Europe, Asia, Australia etc...

Outside of Soccer...its the next biggest international sport..

The country with the worlds largest population is obsessed with Basketball (CHINA)

Everywhere in China you see pictures of Kobe/LeBron/Jordan

For boxing check out....

George Chuvalo

And

Lenox Lewis

yo
back in the 80's I was involved in amateur boxing coachin' an what not,
we be havin' brunch every weekend with Chuvalo and members of the Canadian Boxing Hall of Fame in Oakville, Ont at the ho-jo's don't ya knows,

back at the that time a 17 year old Lennox Lewis fought out of the Kitchener Police Association as an amateur under Boxing Ontario, (I know cause I spent most of the 80's coachin' boxing an he be recognized as a wonder kid back then)

as ya'll know later he be winnin' gold in Olympics,
could not get a good deal boxin' in North America an bein' he is originally from the Caribbean (not Canadian, only fought as a Canadian) he went back to the UK an scored a boxing deal and became HW champ.

I concider it a sport. Really, fighting is the original sport. Everyone in the world can instantly relate to the ufc and thats why it will be the biggest sport in the world one day.

92 / 93 Blue Jays...convenient how you don't include baseball as one of your two real sports.
Steve Nash, heard of him?
Take a look at the gold metal photo, look whos beside Crosby, PK.
The Raptors will do it in time, and when we get the Bills to Toronto it will also just be a matter of time.
It's obvious Canada is superior in every way, except maybe for the weather, but our beer and hot chicks make up for that.

Must have been sheer coincidence. ;)

I do have to agree with Storm though, hockey isn't really on the radar for most americans. I mean, it's not like their ice-makers go into other countries and plant currency in the opposing hosts rinks like canadians do, you all have to admit : Canada is a bit hockey nuts, only the Russian, eastern-block and Nordic countries really share our passion for it.

Imagine Switzerland getting all up in our face after beating us in Soccer... not many would really care. Same goes for hockey in the USA.....

... mind you if he Americans HAD won, you know we'd be hearing about it!

It's only four more years down the road...

Could have at least 90% of the same players next time around...

Food for something or other...

There is a lot of NHL-players.

The Canadian coach took his players
The Swedish coach took his players.

The Canadians players were the BEST.

Congratz Canada :dance013:

P

PS: Three hours after the final game, all the players (minus one swedish) were on a plane back to North America and NHL
