i got great news i got all my equip bought though the guy at the place dropped a 1000w super blue bulb and it was the last one they had on stock so that means another trip. he hooked it up with a nice Price i guess it all it worked out ..

i got 16 pounds of maxibloom and some other stuff for free SWEET

baby steps with 5 gallons buckets and i am looking at the exact design setup from cch20 current culture hydroponics. to one day grow monters still keeping the vertical movement alive grow all you can grow using all the space and also using trellis


i am not going to tell you what to do Benny thats like a fan telling lebron james how to dunk right now but if its not much to a suggestion i would say maybe your lights are a tad bit far away wouldnt you agree? i am talking about your big room i think the tubbs could be some what closer to the lights

yeah uniseals make it like a million times more simple.. Reading back at earlier post you had made and looking better at the pics you cant move the tubs and the lights are the just at the right height for your plants so disregard my last question Benny

Its all good mam, in one of those pics the lights do look to be real far away. Once I get some large plants in there, I wont have enough space. Right now, Im working with 21" centers from the bulbs, and thats with those small plants.

Im just playing it by ear but thanks for posting up. When do you plan on putting a journal together?

16lbs of maxibloom is a fine score my friend. Do you plan on using it as a stand alone?

Here is something I whipped up with spare parts. Its a combination of things which seem to produce awesome root growth.

I dont know what you would call it. Its a combination of top feed, aero, fog, and re circulation.

Check it out. I interested to see the root growth in this compared to everything else.

Just a single pure power plant in a solo cup cut into that foam board I make all my lids out of.

One dripper running off the same pump powering the lil aero manifold. I think the dripper is 5gph....I cant honestly remember.

Inside with just the aero nozzles running. Im using a black rubbermaid trash can that is fairly deep. I want the roots to stay suspended as much as possible. There is probably .75" of water on the bottom off the trash can. I have it on top of a 5 gallon bucket which it drains into. The manifold line is running up the middle of the 1.5" return at the bottom of the trashcan

Now with both aero and fog running.

This thing is mainly some ideas I been tossing around. The one thing about RDWC is you need two pumps...one for circulation and the other for air. With this type of setup the pump provides both circulation and air via the nozzles.


Basically an aero setup on steroids.

I have been rolling tons of ideas around in my head how to eliminate the air pumps from my system. I love what you are doing. I am eager to see how it works out for you. In the picture it looks like the sprayer heads are a little jacked, maybe it is just in the picture but the spray seems very uneven, not sure it even matters but in my mind a nice even mist would be optimal. I am still too inexperienced growing to go too far outside the box yet. I will be experimenting a lot in the years to come. Again I really like how you are trying different things. Keep it up!

dang a 1-4hp chiller? That had to be $$. I dont understand the rating though. How can it be 1-4hp? Usually chillers are 1/10,1/4, 1/2, or 1hp.....and how much was your hydrologic? I have a water general RO/DI from ebay for like $110 and it works awesome...plus replacement filters are cheap. My starting tap in 130ish and its 0-2ppm when it comes out.

im sorry i couldnt find the slash on my keyboard its 1/4 hp and it was like 550 i also got a coil for it...the hydrologic 200gallon RO filter was like 3 bills

i am going to upgrade the electrical in my house im thinking a 100 amps setup and wiring im thinking like pulling 5 to 8k max

You will have to upgrade your wiring for sure bro. Get dedicated 220v lines for all the ballasts. Your talking 100a alone just for lighting if you run 110v for 8kw of lighting. Always load a circuit to only 75% of its total amperage. Don't wanna hear about you burning up.

Shit sounds impressive none the less. I would be in heaven to have that kind of opportunity. I gotta try to stay on the rightoues side of the law though. Those pricks.

We must be clones. I have the exact same stuff except I got a Spectrapure RO unit. Plan on getting their efficient 2:1 or even a 1:1 RO rejection rate unit later, they are a lot more expensive but that's a lot of water that can be going down the drain....

All your stuff sounds awesome man. How long you been growing for? It sounds like you have everything all planned out.

What are your plans for hanging the lights? Going vert or using hoods/reflectors?

When I first started growing I was using hoods.....then sometime after that, prolly 2 years I found this place and the vert section and since then I havent looked back.

I have been working on a cool DIY water chiller project after all this talk in here. I basically turn a dehumidifier into a water chiller. It is a 4.8watt compressor which is the equivalent power consumption of a 1/4hp water chiller.

Im pretty stoked about it. Ill post some pics of it when Im completely done. I had to wire in a thermostat and am yet to put the finishing touches on it and clean up the wire looms.

Depending how good it works, I wanna install a heat exchanger in the bloom room and cool with the room and the reserv off one unit.

With as much lighting you have though, you need your big BTU mini split. When is everything gonna be ready? You have clones or seeds?

Everything on this side is looking damn good. The plants in veg are looking awesome and really starting to consume nutrients. The plants in bloom have made a 100% recovery and have put on some nice lush ass growth.

Got a good feelin about this one....if anything..my plants are going to be to big. I cant believe I am only at two weeks of veg and plan on 6 more.

hey man if you can do things like build your own chiller then props to you i rather just be on the safe side i am a overthinker and that leads me to not take chances when i do not have to... i dont want you burning down or getting zapped to save a couple bucks plus growrooms demand high quality equip due to high usage just something to consider..i hate to be like this but its just how i am

i cant truely say when things will start rollin due to alot of work still ahead for me but for now i am so happy to have pulled up a seat to your grow benny

I totally agree with your about the gear... I messign around and stumbled across a youtube video of some dude that used a dehumidiifer as a water chiller for his 16 site rdwc setup after his 1/4hp went out. He said it worked better and what not so I had to give it a shot. Ill post of some pics once I am done with it.

Umm my top strains are jack flash, sensi star, white widow x big bud, pure power plant, and purple kush..My favs are j.flash and sensi star outta the bunch

I am not using my co2 generator at the time....I have to wait to either buy a big enough tent which is big bucks or wait till I relocate. What I have now is not 'air tight' enough.

Everything as far as environmentals is pretty standard standard. I have been keeping both my veg plants and bloom plants at around 400ppm. pH is real stable now that I figured out this drift thing...My veg tents rises probably .1 every 48 hours and my bloom tent drops .1 every 48 hours or so. Bloom drops because it is hooked up to a RO/DI top off valve, I mean thats why I think it is dropping..DI water is being pumped in as they feed.

So far all the plants in bloom get maxibloom...and I use advanced three part for veg or maxigrow...I also use fulvic acid
