Those are some fat ass tops, aren't they?! 1 reason I believe they are like that is due to it being 1 of the plants that never really went back to full veg after sexing. You can see it in the leaves.
Got pics of #1. I seem cursed when it comes to #3. Im gonna wait 'til chop day, take 100 shots and hope for a good 1.
B #1 - Day 65
NWT - Got a head start by trimming off the fans. Heres a teaser.
Thanks for the support! Where you been hiding at Gelado? Caught in some Ice Cream dreams, no doubt.
Been on the road for most of the year--back now, taking care of my ladies and poring through the bud forums, trying to get the most bang for my buck under a new bulb. Nice to see your grows (solo and +P) doing well, even if the RAs are still bothering you!
Thanks man. Ya, I don't know where they came from. I Suppose its possible that I never completely killed em off. Maybe a few stragglers survived undetected for these many months.
Ive been pounding the veggers like a blitzkrieg. Its war!
Yeah, I hear they can hang out undetected for months, just waiting for new roots to feed on. I never had em (just my springtails, which appear to have disappeared with the cooler weather), but read up on 'em when I thought I had RA issues. Try working in some worm castings with the next run as apparently the root aphids hate them!
Chopped B #1 yesterday - Day 69. The pics are awful but Ill get a couple up later. Shes probably gonna be 2.6 - 2.8.
#2 came in at 2.7 oz. That's a number I can be happy with. She is by far the most flavorful of the 8 REG girls Ive harvested across this test grow. She'll be hanging around for awhile. Run through the grinder and rolled, the material left on the tray is like 50% dry sift diamonds. Probably get a good return running her for BHO.
#4 - What can I say? Overall it smokes generically. (Something Im discovering more and more with f1 polyhybrids.) A dry hit/sniff tastes/smells like fresh orange rind. It does not carry into the smoke much. Theres a hint of citrus with a light sour finish. Its just not enough (at least at this point in the cure) to cut the slight harshness. Shes a goner.
Ive decided, with the smoke from #1, not to make f2s. Too little time and even less space.
Rabble, rabble... Ill get those crap shots up later.
Feel better WG, I've had bronchitis on and off for over a month myself--I think it may be from inhaling compost dust. Gotta wear a mask when working with compost/castings from now on.
Probably take her down Sun/Mon. Very few white pistels, still need to scope her. The biggest top is between a 1 and 2 liter soda pop bottle. Its made up of separate small spear buds. To the eye, the trich coverage makes her look soft and velvety.
Same top as the 1st pic just with a downward angle. Shows nearly all bud development took place on the mains, with the lowers producing very little.
I wanted to add that B #4 has been curing beautifully. Something I was ready to sign off on ended up being quite nice. Potency has increased but more importantly it tastes real good now. She has a sweet almost fruity pine sour flavor. Now if I can just get her yield up, she might beat out the monkey fist.
EDIT: Funny... a couple more days and #4 is pounding the fist. #3 came in at 2.6 and seems average.
Buds. Ill use this post to add smoke reports and #3 when shes done. Ill link it.
#1 - Report: Hmm... what can I say? Shes good, average, medium potency, day time stuff. Tastes like weed - that sort of average poly flavor - tiny bit of sweet, little bit of pine, sour (not flavor so much as it stimulates the same taste buds) finish. The effect is mixed, more body than head.
#2 - Monkey Fist - Report: Much like #1 - Same overall structure in growth, just supersized. A bit stronger on the palate - got a little funk. Slightly stronger effect but still makes the day time list.
#3 - Report: I dried her too much so this report is inconclusive. I can taste a bit of pine and some souriness. Medium weight buzz to her with lasting effects. Ill run her a 2nd time. Still need a dry shot but honestly its not that pretty.
#4 - Pine... and my favorite. Report: Very rich pine/balsam flavor with a nice sour from middle to end. Lingers in your mouth plenty long enough for a joint to make a round trip. Still a mixed effect but much more in the head. I cant help smiling once it sets in. Lowest yielder but she can be bumped up. (My room sucked!) Ill try her topped once early and topped many times. Shes gonna be hanging around for awhile.
