Hello Everyone from the UK

I am pretty ill. I am an ex military veteran from the Air Force. I have served honorably and been working since I was thirteen years old. My father was a Vietnam veteran exposed to dioxin a horrible chemical. It has left genetic problems in second third and fourth generations of children. We are all quite ill to be honest.

I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, bi polar disorder, OCD, Adult DDD, Nerve damage and spinal pain, Chronic pain and spondylosis. Asthma constant daily headaches, nausea on a daily basis and lethargy. Also sleep is nearly impossible. I was put in a wheelchair and told I would never walk again. I worked my way out of that through sheer force of will. Now the doctors here in England said i did more damage that way than if i had therapy. But I was in America without insurance. I couldn't just give up walking. But this.. this I cannot fight alone.

I moved to the UK in June 2011 to be with my partner. He is wonderful and loves me very much. He helped me with a supply of medicinal cannabis and while I had access to it I found I could sleep much better, all of my symptoms lightened up and suddenly I could do more things. It was a liberating feeling even though I was terrified of getting in trouble.

I have never broken the law and neither has my partner. Our neighbors said they were going to call the police so we ha to get rid of all of my medicine. Within two weeks my partner had two seizures related to stress and was put on pharmaceuticals as well as myself. He had to go today to get another prescription to quell the side effects of Celexa. He had this nervous breakdown because he had to watch me suffer for three years. He found cannabis helped then suddenly couldnt help me anymore. It was terrifying watching him having a seizure.

The government here is moving at a snails pace when it comes to cannabis. Basing their current laws more on opinion than fact. We want to move back to the US which is my home but we cannot afford it. We have no car, no property, no savings. We have tried over and over again to save money to move. We cant do it. My prescriptions alone per month cost £50- 60 a month. Then there is food and rent and everything else.

Why do we have to suffer like this? We don't drink alcohol or smoke cigarettes. No fast food we conserve energy because we cant go without it. We have no children except our lovely furry kitty.

I have started a fund me page in the desperate hope that someone can help us to get to the US so I can finally find relief. So perhaps I can feel productive again. I cry often because there is no relief i have to grin and bear it and i am getting so tired of desperately trying to hang on.

Thank you for reading this. Very lovely to meet all of you :):woohoo:

Welcome, it's an honor!

I suppose the next best thing is to grow it in your own home. Although it does require some money to get started, it doesn't have to be a lot. There are numerous threads in the Micro Grow forum on how best to utilize fluorescent lights in a small area. Relatively cheap and easy does it. Hope you find what you need!
