help save my seedlings in rockwool

Hello all!

Not a nubee here but first time germ and caring for sprouts in rockwool and ex. OG'er. Strain is triple platinum from socal seed company. I'm just tired and confused about getting contradictory info.
Some telling me to feed with diluted nutes as soon as sprouts arise and first set of true leaves come out. , others tell me not to feed at all just water until roots show then feed. and others to just presoak the cubes in diluted nutes and drop seed in cube and once the seed sprouts just moisten with plain water becouse the nutes in the cube is enough to carry seedling till roots show.
Here is what's going on..
Soaked the cubes with rapid start and homex. Ph of 5.5.
Mostly everything sprouted on feb 13. And placed under a 400 watt has about 2-3 ft distance. Couple of days later I exchanged out the 400 hps for a 250 mh. I have been watering with plain water. Then like on the 16th I watered the cubes with rapid start and homex and h202. This is when I noticed something funky with seedlings. It's like they turned dark green, leaves curl down and slightly The tips getting lighter color Then just plain water till the 19th in which I gave cubes rapid start hygrozyme and hormex. That was yesterday. Now I'm just adding plain water to keep cubes moist but not logged. It's been 8 days since sprout and they ate only about 1-1.5 inch long.. temps in the tent are 87-90f. And about 30-35% humidity. With still only their first set of true leaves. This sucks cuz I never had a prob with seedlings In soil but this is something else... I just need to get 1 female cutting! I'm thinking about transplanting these in soil just to sex them and get the cuttings...
Please help!

I would say cooler temps 78-80 and way less light for starters a small t5 is plenty, you dont need hygrozyme yet thats a total waste, use rapid start or hormex not both.
if all u have is a 250 mh move it 3 or 4 feet away

Thanks StoneyK! With all the stuff I added already and with the symptoms that they are showing do you recommend I flush em litely with just ph'd water and then resume adding either quick start or hormex? Or would this stress the seedlings?

1. Your light is too intense. You should be using a CFL.

2. Your humidity is too low.

3. Too much heat.

4. H202 on delicate seedlings? No way.

5. Water with a very light solution when the roots poke out of the cube.

6. You sure did make a lot of mistakes for a guy who is not a newbie.

Thanks for the reply Snype!! Lol! I sure did make a lot of mistakes! That's what happens when I try something new I haven't done before! I kind of figured that on 1-3 but still working on dialing in the temps since this is a new setup (tent in closet) so still going to get a small portable ac and a water chiller for the res. As far as the h202 I was iffy about it but ur right too delicate I guess I figured since I add a little to rooting clones and it does help them root faster that it might benefit seedlings too but this is not the case. Picking up some cf L's this weekend. OK so you recommend to moisten the cubes with plain water and then add light notes once the roots show? I will try it... I started out organic with seeds and always had a high ratio of females to males. Never had a problem popping seeds or caring for them in soil then I moved to rockwool so I got that down using clones but this is my first time sprouting and caring for seedlings in rockwool. Once they are past seedling and in veg it's all good from there. I just need this experience to get the hang of it..

Once you see some true leaves, water with very light nutrient solution. (50-150 PPM). Let the cube dry out 20-50%. I use a scale.

Since rock wool cubes have no nutrients, you have to go easy as Snype mentioned. Make sure they are wet....of course. I soak in water to leach out residue (after all, rock wool is spun chalk and basalt rock) as rock wool is inherently higher in pH. Some use very diluted lemon juice and water. I use plain tap water that has been sitting overnight, rinsing a few times.

I enlarge the hole at top, put seed in about 1/8"- 1/4" and cover with plastic dome or plastic (Saran wrap). Keep cubes moist, not water logged!! I keep them warm but not in intense light. That's like an albino going to the beach all day! Ouch!!

Gradually get them in light (I used to have cubed tray UNDER growing plants for filtered light, at first.

For cloning, pretty much same process. I take diagonal cuts, then have them inserted (I use pencil tip or match tip to widen top hole, or cut a criss cross), then with tray, I use plastic wrap to hold in humiditiy. Have a grower friend that uses NO cloning additives. I like Olivia's root gel.

You'll get the hang of it...just learn what you did wrong, and try not to repeat it. Maddening!! Ha!

Snype gave you all the other tid bits.

I wish you successful growing!!!:)

Thanks snype and aridbud! I will do and this does clarify much! I'm thinking about just putting this set of current seedlings to the side and focus on new beans and getting them right and if the current seedlings make it great! If they don't oh well only a 40 dollar loss.. good thing I didn't use a expensive pack on the first round! Thinking about starting either BOGS sour bubble or caliconnect bubba kush..
