I was in Boston the last couple of days to see the state of the market. I saw pounds for $2500 that my boy said was from cali but it reminded me of beasters and it was so dense that it looked unnatural and had that Beaster smell. I suspect it was packed full of paclo. Pretty nasty if that was the case. He was moving o's all day long at $325 and quarters for $110. I saw another boy that had cali Blue Dream for $3250. These guys would rather have this shitty grade product because they make more money this way. It is what it is. I gave the guy that pays 2500 a P my top grade to show him what it could do. We smoked a tiny little joint between 3 people and could only finish half of it. The guy could barley function after that. It was funny. We smoked KKSD and Illuminati. Those are obviously my top plants at the moment. I think when his clients see the new trees that the kid is going to blow up but only time will tell. I'm interested to see what happens. He's paying double what he usually pays to see if I'm right but I think he thinks that I'm crazy. We shall see.
Its a niche market. If you dont have the best of the best, then it doesnt matter how awesome it is around here. It will only bring Beazter prices.

It is a niche market but to fetch the right amount for this specialty product it is best to deal with it on a retail basis instead of wholesaling it to the pound guys. It's the same mentality as the California dispensaries. A lot of them don't want A grade quality because they make more on B grade. It's all just business. Put it this way, my boy is moving beasters for top grade prices and he's been doing really well. You actually make more with that mentality and that's why things are the way that they are. The end clients want the A grade but they don't know how to get it. It is my job to figure out how to get the A grade to the guy at the bottom of the line. That means that I have to spend more time on the outside.
Exactly. It may take longer and you have to deal with ALOT more people, but you end up getting all the money for it piecing it out retail.
I can get $20 gram. It takes alot longer, but thats $70 an 1/8th.

If you have more flower than you know what to do with, its ok to wholesale it out so others can make some profit too, but if you are limited and need to make all the money off it, then by all means, retail is the way to go for sure.
My best friend sells shwag for dirt cheap and make a killing. He doesnt buy my meds wholesale cuz he wont make nearly as much.
So he will buy some headies for himself ocassionally.
On another note I've done a lot of thinking and I'm going to start phasing out BYTCH from production and only have her on the side on a smaller scale for Hash Oil instead. She's an amazing plant but she just doesn't have the bag appeal in this type of market when quality as a whole is going up. I'm keeping her for Oil because I believe that she has healing properties but testing will show the truth as time goes on and I find more patients to work with.
I'd say the top 3 cuts that I'm working with at the moment are:
KK StarDawg
Illuminati StarDawg
The White
So now it's time to test these cuts in the RDWC systems. I think KK StarDawg and Illuminati StarDawg have the most potential and those will be the main focus for production. The White is not productive so I see myself working with her on a smaller scale. I think the KK StarDawg has the best bag appeal but Illuminati yields more. Illuminati's bud structure seems similar to ChemD which is also similar to BYTCH while KK StarDawg seems to take after Chem4. IMO, Chem4's bud structure is better for bag appeal and that's why I think KK StarDawg may have the most potential but I also would like to see how Illuminati does in RDWC. Potency and flavor is not a concern because these cuts are also very flavorful and very potent.

so when will we see the side by side grow ?
It'll take a while to put together because there is still flowering crops of BYTCH slated until May 2014. BYTCH Mother's were just phased out and now I have to phase in all the StarDawg Mothers which will take a little while. All the StarDawgs seem to feed very similar which is making me consider putting multiple pheno's of StarDawg in the same RDWC system to speed up the testing process. That would be the fastest route for now.
You could split the system into 2 pieces if needed. I may do that to help me go thru some seeds i need to go thru and some cuts that are coming my way.

6 + 4 would obviously be controls on both ends to fit same space.
My partner Erik Weissman was murdered by the guys who bombed the Boston Marathon. He was murdered with his 2 friends on September 11, 2011 which was the 10 year anniversary of 911. His murder went unsolved until the truth came out after the bombing. RIP my man. You will forever be missed.

I don't want to repeat those guys names but the older one was more extreme. He took a vacation to that terrorist area while his little brother stayed in the Boston area. My friend and his 2 friends were jewish. At one point they were all friends. When the older brother got back to the USA, he was unhappy that his younger brother was now associated with cannabis from my jewish friends. The older one was not happy about this and it was the JEW's fault. The money was corrupted so he left it behind by dumping trees and thousands of dollars on the bodies. He was an extremist. The cops kept many details hidden but if they let out some of these details, it would have been very obvious what happened. They were separated into different rooms and their throats we're slashed from ear to ear. It wasn't a pretty site.
