i say it is you sir who are clueless about what's going on here

if the mods are on the ball and taking an interest in the Canada forum why is the MMPR meet the players thread taking so long to clean, if you were playing an active part snipping a few posts of the ends would of taken minutes.

for us mods it's the same old same old

out of interest could you through up a link to the past warnings youv given people in here.
one member posting....is not gonna change the nature of the information available, saying so is plainly ridiculous.

i know were not a democracy, why not though up a thread/vote? a gumptionless vendor with a long list of banned alias's and locked threads must be even to you a clear indicator of where theres smoke theres fire.
would you have preferred not to know that it was temp ban? or would you prefer it to look like it was done for no reason?

I pointed why he was banned first and you even replied , once again a prime example of why a mod is needed, you guys are overstretched.

man oh man, your gonna keep this going eh. do you really think i keep a link to every warning i've posted, pm'ed or vm'ed? take note please WARNINGS ARE NOT ALWAYS POSTED IN PUBLIC either. only when shit is getting out of hand do we call people out in public. but more important is that you misrepresented my meaning, again, just like with your partial quote the other day. it's intellectually dishonest to imply shit that you know is bs.

it seems that the one dealing with the thread you are asking about has not been around, so i will not be stepping on their toes and changing it's status before i know why exactly the thread is in moderation. now i really hope thats enough explanation. i really am starting to understand why it's a banning offense to complain about banning, it's a right pain in the ass when people refuse to accept the explanation and go on and on arguing about it.

as for finding a new moderator for this section alone, that is not as easy as you think. we have to be very careful who is given mod access, experience has shown that a bad choice in that area is much worse then no choice at all. generally people that want to moderate are the wrong people for it, on the other hand sometimes you get one that wants and is good. but it's impossible to be sure ahead of time how someone will react to the power. so i will just say be careful what you ask for. cause you might get it and it might not be what you expected. as things are you can always report a post and explain your take on it if you need mod attention here.

Marijuana growing in residential neighbourhoods will no longer be allowed, under new Langley Township regulations given preliminary approval by council on Monday, Feb. 3.

The changes to the property safety bylaw would impose a fine of up to $10,000 a day on anyone who currently has a medical marijuana production licence if they continue cultivating pot plants after March 31, when all of the small-scale growing licences issued by the federal government are set to expire.

Under new medicinal marijuana regulations that take effect April 1, growing will switch from the current system of small operations with one or two clients to larger commercial-style bulk growing.

The planned Langley Township ban on residential pot growing will apply to “the growth, planting, cultivation, manufacture, storage, transfer or disposal of a controlled substance, including marijuana, unless that person is authorized to do so pursuant to a commercial licence.”

The measure won unanimous approval with little debate.

Councillor Charlie Fox called it “a very progressive step.”

The Township also wants to ban marijuana production on the Agricultural Land Reserve (ALR) that makes up 75 per cent of the Township, but has yet to get a response from the provincial government to the proposed regulation that would restrict growing to industrial areas.

The Agricultural Land Commission (ALC), the agency that administers the ALR, recently declared that medical marijuana growing on agricultural land is protected under farming regulations that override the the Township of Langley’s authority. However, the agriculture minister has yet to make a ruling.

Mayor Jack Froese has scheduled a meeting with the minister later this month in Victoria to discuss the matter.

As of mid-December, at least eight businesses, seven of them located on agricultural land, had expressed interest in growing medicinal marijuana in Langley Township.

One of the would-be Langley growers, Koch Greenhouses owner Bruce Bakker, has called the attempt to restrict medicinal marijuana cultivation to industrial areas “troubling” because, he says, the ban was drafted without consulting farmers.

http://news.ca.msn.com/local/britishcolumbia/rcmp-says-medical-marijuana-being-abused

There is an "overwhelming temptation" for growers of medical marijuana to supplement their income under the current system by selling extra pot, the RCMP says.

Police investigations have revealed various abuses of the federal medical marijuana program, including trafficking for personal gain, violent theft of homegrown pot and involvement of organized crime, RCMP Cpl. Shane Holmquist says in an affidavit filed in the Federal Court of Canada.

Health Canada plans a revamp of the medical marijuana system — in part due to concerns about criminal infiltration.

Under the existing program, to be phased out by April 1, people are issued licences to grow marijuana for their personal use to help ease the symptoms of painful conditions.

Several British Columbia residents with licences to grow their own pot are asking the Federal Court for an injunction that would allow them to continue doing so.

They argue the proposed new system, under which only licensed producers could grow marijuana for distribution to approved patients by mail, would deny them a safe supply tailored to their needs at an affordable price.

Under the current regime, just over 30,000 people have a licence from Health Canada to grow marijuana for themselves or for another person. More than half of them are in B.C.

In his court submission, requested by the federal government as part of its defence, Holmquist says he has seen numerous instances of licensees trafficking marijuana they grow — sometimes through cultivation of oversized "monster" plants.

RCMP case studies find abuse

In one case, a grower stated one room of marijuana was for medical purposes while another was a "mortgage helper," Holmquist says.

"In my experience investigating (medical marijuana) grow locations, I have found that there is an overwhelming temptation for ... growers to sell marijuana to supplement their income."

Licences are also used to disguise commercial-scale grow operations, Holmquist says. He investigated a case last year that turned up a chicken barn linked to growing licences. "Twenty-five people, who were not authorized to grow marijuana, were tending to and packaging marijuana for the purpose of trafficking at this (medical marijuana) location."

A 2009 RCMP review found 40 cases of licence holders selling excess marijuana for profit.

Organized crime groups are known to target terminal cancer patients, offering large sums to help them enjoy the time they have left, Holmquist says. In return, the patient obtains a marijuana grow licence and makes the criminal their designated grower.

The skunk-like odour of marijuana can help thieves identify growing locations, break in and steal the pot — a crime known as a grow rip.

In B.C., there were four violent grow rips at locations with medical marijuana licences in 2009 and 11 the following year, Holmquist's affidavit says.

Between November 2003 and February last year there were 14 homicides related to grow rips in B.C.'s Lower Mainland.

Growing marijuana in a residence also poses risks from mould, fire and electrical hazards, the affidavit warns.

In a notice of motion seeking the injunction, John Conroy, a lawyer for patients who grow their own marijuana, says they have taken care to create safe, secure production sites.

"They have not had any fires, nor suffered from any toxic mould nor been subjected to any attempted thefts."

One man behind the legal action, Neil Allard of Abbotsford, B.C., says in a court filing it will cost about $200 a day — $72,000 a year — under the proposed new system to buy the marijuana he needs to get relief from symptoms of his serious neuro-immune disorder.

"On the other hand I can produce this herbal medicine for myself for a fraction of that cost and I have been able to produce it and use it effectively maintaining my own quality controls at a cost of approximately $200 to $300 per month."

40 cases of trafficking out of 30,000+ licenses? Stop the madness! Let's punish patients because we can't do our own fucking job properly! Clearly organized crime is involved because of these 40 cases out of 30,000! Oh no 0.001% of the program are criminals, better change it!

Yep, saw that coming, gotta be super conservative with patient capacity numbers and making sure to not run out of medicine people are relying on you for...

It will force people to get multiple med docs and use multiple LP's, which would be great if the cost of a doc was none or based in reality(not 25g for $25K lol).

6 applicants in final review. So 14 LP's total in the next year or so. Too bad there's only like the 5-6 we have now that will have any product to ship by April. Sorry but I am not impressed with any of the listed LP's so far and can't believe they pass off their shit as medicine then charge black market or above prices. How can they even think this is reasonable access? Most these companies offer less than a handful of strains on top of that. Going to be a lot of disappointed patients come April. Hopefully the courts aren't as stupid and ignorant as our conservative government.

Probably everyone of these companies are owned/ran by ex/commercial growers, they're in it for the profit (as should any company) but they are taking on customers who the system screwed over for cheap medicine. Wait till they get on the stock market, now its profit profit profit.

Instead of making changes to the system to reduce abuse (it wouldn't take much) and looking at what Colorado has done this gov jumped head first into a tax generation scheme. No no not about medicine its all about generating taxes. Pretty funny if you ask me.

Now what retard sets their product pricing same/higher as the illegal market pricing to sell their product? They might as well have legalized dispenceries and be done with it.
