160W CFL grow - PCK hybrids

Greetings micro growers,

I have recently pulled forth an old friend from retirement which happens to be a wardrobe that I used mostly for vegging.

Within it are 1x 45W CFL, 1x 40W CFL, 2 x 26W CFLS and a 17w long tube fluorescent and a 10w? LED strip. Roughly this translates into the area of +/-10,000 lumens. What I am hoping is enough to get some good seed production. Unfortunately I could only find Miracle gro soil but will be feeding only with organics (fish emulsion, Kelp extract, Blood/bone meal)

The strains I am running are PCK x Durban Poison and a hybrid of PCK/C99 x BB that I was gifted by Icon. Currently they are all stretching like a bitch, but I am sure they will even out soon.

so far they looking healthy....i think you can get the plants closer to the bulbs if its not hot if the plants are too far away they'll stretch. also more orange/red spectrum will make them stretch too so more blue spectrum like 6500 kelvin will help keep them more compact.

Thanks Icon, that's kinda what I've been reading. At the moment I only have a 40w red spectrum and the 17w long tube red. The others are 6500 and 4500.. Seems the stretching stopped quite a bit after I added the two extra lights.

Update:

Seems I transplated most of the PCKx DurbaN poison too early and had a little moisture issue with them, but everything seems to be kicking off now.. Very nice ndoe growth and they have stopped stretching, I only wish I started them with the added lights earlier.

C99/BB X PCK are coming along quickly with nice big leaves and purple stems.

Group shots then c99/bb x PCK, an odd durban x PCK pheno maybe its LMI/PK x Durban not sure yet and a LMI X Purple kush outdoor bud.

Added some CIL potting soil, things are shaping up! Big durban dominant male in back left has got some good vigor.

PCKxDurban smells from stem range from PurplE PCK smell to Green PCK and some phenos have fresh durban smells as well.

PCK x BB99 smells like a burnt rubber type smell some with purp PCK smells as well, should be rather smelly.

1- (Nanda Devi x KC33/Afghan) x KC brains TNR

2 - group

3 - Squat PCK x durban Paki pheno

4 - BB99 x PCK

Growing quick now, The PCK/Durbans smell like furnace oil when stems are rubbed took me some time to realize the similarities but furnace oil and a touch of something more tasty on the purple PCK phenos , more of a PCK trait.

Nanda Devi/ KC33A x TNR? smells of soft peaches....

I'm thinking of keeping the big male and a PCK leaning male to cross too all and discarding the rest of the males. Not sure though, I have a fair amount of Durban x PCK so maybe I'll choose a BB99 x PCK male instead.

Is it possible I could run these at 13 or 14 hrs of light in order to get everything I can out of em?

I see nothing but pictures of wood in your most recent update.

Try uploading them to your ICMAG photo album.

And yes some people use 13/11. I don't, but I have seen it done.

Okay fixed, Put em on 13/hrs light. CFL takes a while to bud too which kinda sucks. I'll have to get myself some red spectrum lights in the coming weeks. Is it a good Idea to run the blues for the first 2 or 3 weeks of flower?

Decided to put em back on 24 hours so I can start some Blueberry's and MOB for outdoors,

Throwin these gals outdoors soon and am Keeping for now one male in the Popeyes cup. It's got all the sugar daddy characteristics, Very pungent fresh funky durban and red berry smell when stem is rubbed, thick stemmed and a little lanky with fat indica leaves, best smelling plant of all Durban x PCK. A lot of the Durban-Chitral (Durban X PCK) were males, got one fat squat PCK leaning female and a couple small others.

BB99 x PCK smells from slight soft creamy blueberry-ish/pineapple to more industrial cream rubber-like smells Not much PCK influence.

Can't wait to throw em in the ground and have some big 8' trees.

Most Durban x PCK didn't stop flowering after I put them inside in the window. One female has pink in the bud and has a fresh lime rind sour funk with a deep forest berry undertone. Man is this a nice hybrid. Will continue breeding this one.

A lot of variation for two IBL's but variation in structure, leaf and smells between the two strains. Nothing major.
