Kids grow in Leadville for sure, you kidding me? Sure you won't be growing any outdoor but you're crazy to think people aren't living there just to grow herb in an affordable town. Definitely a really old town. Most of the houses are old mine shacks that have had additions every 20 years or so. Really cool town if that's what you're looking for, lot's of character and crazy locals. For legitimate work you WILL be driving to Summit County or Vail just like a previous poster said.

Thanks for the replies folks.
I'm lookin' at taking a trip out there this late spring or early summer with a friend, hes never been west of the Mississippi and has an old girlfriend that's been out there 6-7 years, she says she loves it big time, probably stay 10-14 days and scope things out.
I may just look into buying a few acres somewhere in the foot hills between Denver and Ft Collins and dropping a nice manufactured home on it.
Any of y'all know what kind of car scene there is in that area? Clubs, shows, cruise ins, race tracks, ect....

Again, thanks for the responses'. :tiphat:

I small farm may very well be your best choice. I know nothing of the east slope but on the west slope you can find land for around $1000 an acre... The larger the farm the cheaper the per acre cost. You should easily be able to find 80-160 acres w a house within your budget.
Welcome to Cannarado. ;D
