Made sure that this "MJ PHARMACY delivery system" idea was acted upon on THE FIRST DAY BACK FROM THE XMAS-NEW YEAR RECESS - but the other bill -to allow "PROVISIONING CENTERS" (dispensaries) - which was voted UNANIMOUSLY on, days before the break by the legislature, HAS BEEN SHELVED FOR NOW.. A Unanimous vote, I say... Ignored. I knew this would happen..

He's getting into Bed with these curs from Canada.. Moralizing By another Name...

Here's what BC people say about Prairie Plant Systems.

--------------------------------------------------------------

TARGETING THE SMALL FARMER

Unlike De Maria, many Kootenay growers were cultivating their crops legally. Under the previous medical marijuana regime, 30,000 growers were licensed to provide a wide range of products for prescriptions around the country, and many of these small-time growers plied their trade in the Kootenays. Under the 2013 regulations, however, home-growers will be barred from the medical weed market.

Out in the muskeg borderlands of northern Saskatchewan and Manitoba, Canada's largest legal grow-op sits 360 metres below ground in vast defunct mining chambers. Prairie Plant Systems Inc., a multinational biotechnology pharmaceutical corporation was awarded the first two licenses under the Conservative government's Marihuana for Medical Purposes plan.

Prairie Plant Systems is presently using 17,000 square feet for medical marijuana production; at the time their contract with the government was announced, the corporation already had over 300,000 square feet ready for new crops.

Gone are the days of planting a nest egg out on the back acre. Licensed production facilities will now need to have secure vaults, cameras, alarms and security personnel. The quality of the product will have to pass Health Canada approval, showing that it's free of microbes and moisture and that its THC levels are of a pre-approved consistency. Prairie Plant Systems Inc.'s CanniMed division will deliver what it calls a "homogenous product." Rather than names, its strains will be assigned numbers based on their strength. This "cannabis plant material," they say, "is dried under strict conditions to ensure proper curing... [and]... monitored for consistency... to ensure appropriate usability."

The CEO of Prairie Plant Systems, Brent Zettl, assures its main client, Health Canada, that the product of his labs will have "no variability, to ensure dose consistency."

"Production will no longer take place in homes and municipal zoning laws will need to be respected," said Leona Aglukkaq, then health minister, in the June press release announcing the new plan, intended to enhance public safety.

Snyder is a Tool.. We MUST get someone else in his chair.. Moralizing by omission - on a bill that UNANIMOUSLY passed in the Michigan Senate.. And which 70% of the Michigan are FOR..

Democrazy at work... We voted Him in, and WE pay his Salary..

Seems pretty clear to Me, that These Curs are PUBLIC SERVANTS, not the other way around.

so at current... snyder signed the prairie bill, which has no effect until the fed classifies mj as sched 2...? it just sits on the books awaiting the day? at which point, the mmj bill will likely be revoked in favor of the pharmacy model?

and the other two bills, esp the prov ctrs, has passed the house, but has not the senate? these still need to go through senate committee, then resolutuon w the house & to the gov? just to clarify, these are not on the gov's desk at current?

just wanting to get an update, thanks in advance.

walked into a dip yday & they said it passed the senate & on the gov's desk... cant find that on my own looking

If you aren't angry you aren't paying attention.
Absolutamente..... We are getting manipulated in the worst way. The LARA program is complete silliness, at this juncture. All the possible ways of the Industry moving forward in PRIVATE hands are being removed from us, bit by bit. A new group of Suits will do their best to exclude US from any MMJ infrastructure they are FORCED to implement. Until then, it's Detroit, down here that has MMJ. Great. Take your life in your hands to relax with a few tokes, as an elderly Med patient now has to.

Upper lower, Here I come. Glut and all. Hopefully, it is not such a Shitshow as NorCal is/was. But, it may be. I am finding people up North are not always very honorable. Shades of California..?

So, now it is being considered on CapitAl Hill about re-scheduling cannabis. So, Snydely Whiplash may get his wish after all. Get ready for B-Grade..! Cha Ching..>!!!

Can MI not begin steps to recall Snyder for blatantly ignoring the will of the public??? Seems like the BEST approach...

Wow, you guys have to deal with these jokers as well? PPS is a running joke up here. They've been pushing their pre-ground, irradiated junk for over a decade. They were hired by Health Canada under contract, so even after the MMAR wiped out their more or less non-existent customer base, HC still bought 5 million worth of product a year. Smacks of cronyism.

There is some hope...

PPS is the reason we were able to push a home grown medical system through the courts.

Their product was so inferior it caused health issues (harsh smoke) and frequently was recalled due to excessive levels of heavy metals. This and other issues provided enough fodder for lawyers to push the MMAR through. The lack of inspections and control under the MMAR in turn caused the MMPR, a move towards licenced producers and large scale production. An entirely new shit-show..

Cali is NOT better, DT. Except geographically, climate-wise. Or if one has VERY solid clientele. Quite a challenge to maintain that.

SE MI is not pretty, Maybe get out of the metro... Into the countryside.

CA don't have a Schutte though, and THAT's something... BS (the fuckah) is dug in.. I don't think the Med/Legalization movement/ program is looking too good in MI, ATM.... Won't stop Me.

However, some areas in CA are as conservative as anywhere else, something people do not know. Even in NorCal, unless one is in "the bush," people WILL meddle, if they can.

Moving is super expensive, and life there is for wealthy peeps, anymore. But I must admit, (Northern) CA CAN be great. And I miss the lifestyle (ocean), often.

Hard to believe these Curs are STILL sitting on the (lack of) dispensary decision. Not accountable to MJ users, apparently. It would be extremely gratifying to get them out. Somehow.

Take out the local prosecutors who believe the federal fairy tale
Remove cannabis from the forfeiture list
Make home growing a right in our constitution.....

I think Mr. Silverhair is gonna get his misbegotten wish. Looks like MJ Will be rescheduled soon. Then they can set up their mediocre cannabis producing corporations and try to cash in.

We are pretty fierce here - I do not think this will eliminate the Home Grower, unless massive enforcement (maybe based on Electrical usage - w/smart meters) takes over.

I know what I will do, regardless. Get out to the country. Blend in, & to a certain extent, disappear.

I think they are holding out YET AGAIN, due to the action in Wash DC. These curs desperately want that Monopoly here in MI. I wonder if they will hop in bed with the {"Responsible"} people out of Ohio, looking to do a business-oriented Republicant Monopoly NO GROW version of MMJ. Or if they will continue and honor the contract with Prairie Plant System.
