Just got done watching the second episode of House Of Cards, season 2. This show is so damn good. Anybody who doesn't have Netflix, you really ought to join up now...first month is a freebee, and you can watch each episode of the first and second season easily within the first 30 days. It's worth the $8 a month for the streaming service anyways, but if you don't think so, you can just cancel and get to see this fantastic show.

True Detective...I saw a little news piece on that show last night. Sounds really good. How can it go wrong with Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey in it. Story line sounds really interesting too. Too bad it's on HBO...I don't have it, won't ever pay for it...probably will be years before it becomes available on something like Netflix or non-pay TV.

True Detective is the best thing on TV at the min mate hands down. In the UK its shown on Sky Atlantic which i dont have but it is out there on the internet somewhere as a friend of mine put the first 4 episodes on a pen drive for me.

Il speak to him later and find out where hes downloading them from.

Holy shit, fucking shocker is right. The ending of this first episode of season 2 was funnier than hell too. Those cufflinks!

The cufflinks ending was a great shot, it really just summed up Frank's entire ethos, spelled out in the form of a gift of initialed cufflinks.

I couldn't believe the writers did that shocking thing... I mean it's not Game of Thrones:biggrin:

Whooohooo only a few weeks until GOT...Although Emilia Clarke's nipples will no longer be starring in it apparently.

I'm on the last episode of HOC right now... Major binge-viewing session.

I'm on the last episode of HOC right now... Major binge-viewing session.

I kept my HOC diet to the first 4 episodes yesterday. 'Twas a binge, but not as gluttonous as you Harry. I have to fight myself... I'd be eating it up like you, but what am I going to do when it's all gone? How long will it be before new episodes are available? Netflix needs to make these seasons longer than 13 episodes...

One thing for sure, HOC is such a good show that I have no trouble going back and re-viewing previously watched shows with only a little bit of time in between. A month after finishing season 2, I'll go back and watch it again.

I wish I had watched the original British version before getting into this new Netflix one, was watching Rachel Maddow last night and she said it just doesn't work to watch the original if you've already gotten into the american version.

I am a greedy chap.

Funny you mention the original, I'm watching it now, although I can remember when it was on the TV. Give it a go mate, you can see how the makers of the US show had a reverence for the UK one.
I think Francis Urqhart, is more likeable than Frank Underwood.

Clare, man she looks at people the way a lion looks at a Zebra.

Yeah...I think I will give the original a go when I get done with season 2. Just watched episodes 5 and 6.

What you say about Clare is spot on! She's setting up one of the nice people in this political world, Christina (was the chief of staff to congressman Russo), to fail as the assistant to the First Lady now. What a BITCH! Almost every single one of these people in positions of power are fucking sociopaths.

One thing is for sure...I'm gonna have to go out and get me some ribs real soon, all these scenes that happen at Freddy's are making me drool....
