Dude dry trimming is terrible. I mean trimming sucks ass anyways but dry trimming sucks diarrhea ass. But at least the motivation is in hand!

I'm so bad with smells. They have a berry smell that I've never had. There's a little hint of earth smell in the background, and a tiny bit of fuel... very small amount of fuel/ chem. It's sweet smelling and if I were to give it a color it would be blue or purple.
Not sure if that makes sense, but it's what I got. I'll ask friends to try to describe it when they smell it.
At this point I would say Yes, Led's grow better quality buds than Hid's.

That guy must be the destroyer of galaxies. I really want to talk to him, try to spread some sunshine on his life, but I fear he would merely spread some darkness on mine. Apparently his wife was the only one to do yard work, and she did very little. Only going out to clear the weeds when they would get to around 5 or 6 feet tall. She got tired of this, and I guess they have never heard of landscaping cloth and gravel, because they just paved the entire front yard over.
As one might imagine the skateboarders loved this. Especially it's position on a small hill. So he put up a horrible looking fence around the whole thing and put up the sign. It's seriously disgusting to me. To think that anyone would discourage young people from enjoying their youth.
He has a lovely sense of style too... check the big picture lol.
And right next to that on my memory card is a place a friend of mine lives. Totally weird, old victorian house all chopped up into I think she said there were 6 apartments in the house... and the front yard more apartments. We do things funny in San Diego sometimes.
I have about half the buds in jars, I'm up to near 3.5 oz. Hopefully we get to 8 oz. That's the goal.

Hey Jig, I was just wondering what kinda root mass you end up with in the end and if you have any problems with blockage due to overly large root balls. Hehe, wondering if your chicks have big balls!
The root masses are pretty big, I'll take a picture I take them out. I've had overflowing happen once when I vegged a long time. Mostly they fill up about half the pipe for 6-8 inches before getting skinnier, than stopping for the most part when they get to the next plant.

Numbers are in. Right about 6 oz. A little over a gram short. So 167 grams from 450 w of LED's.
If you use g/w, that's about 0.37 g/w. I would say my average in the closet using HID's was around 0.40-0.42, something like that. So using those numbers it's about 10% lower yield using g/w with the LED's vs HID's.
If one considers the electricity difference between the 6" 435 cfm I was running 24/7 with HIDs vs the 50 cfm bathroom fan I ran 24/7 I think the yield per electricity would be right on with the HID grows I've done.
As for quality, these are the best flavored buds I've grown. The smoke is too strong for me, I gave some to a friend today, we'll await his report. He smokes a LOT so he should be a good judge.

It seems most people on IC say you should be able to get 1g/watt. I haven't completed my first indoor grow yet so I don't know what I will yield but I am hoping for close to a gram/watt. What do you think are the factors that prevented you from reaching that mark? Please don't take this wrong I am very impressed with your grow, your techniqe and everything. It all seemed right on the money so I am wondering and only trying to learn.
I have been growing 5 years and my best yield ever was 0.56 g/w. I don't think I'm doing anything wrong. The main factor is I'm growing in a 7 sq.ft. closet. Not too many people are pulling a pound from 7 sq.ft. (not that this grow was a pound, but I've hit that before with my 1000w).
I just use g/w as a number to base comparisons off of. I've never felt inadequate from my small g/w. I grow in a small closet. I think I do pretty good. If we used g/sq.ft. as a measure I would probably be up there with bigger growers in the g/w category.
I compare me to me. It's why I played golf.
And no offence taken. If I were you, I'd let go trying to hit 1 g/w.... and just see what you get. Be happy with that and work to improve on it. It's not a race with the other growers on the internet (although some sure act like it is).
Maybe if one is doing things commercially and it was their money/ living depended on it things would be a different story, but I grow for me to smoke. If I have extra, that's cool. I calculated one grow as costing somewhere around $23 an oz. Can't buy top shelf bud anywhere for $23 an oz... so I'll keep growing. lol

nice closet you got there bro, and pretty dialed, the yield could be more but if that provides you with enough smoke than its really what matters, and if this is the first one using LED´s you always have room for improvement, will you continuo your closet grow on this thread, im looking forward to see more coming out of that small space!!
