Landrace Sativa Indoor Lighting Setup question

I am about to venture into growing tropical landrace sativas indoors and need a few pointers in terms of lighting.

So far I have come to the conclusion that having a mix of both MH and HPS lighting would be ideal. Also, having a light regimen of 13/11(veg) and 11/13 (flower) would be ideal since that lighting schedule reflects the tropical sativas natural enviroment.

My question is, because of height and the large spacing between internodes would be best to utilize a vertical lighting setup?

I can't answer that, but I di look at your old thread and was impressed at what you got!

Amazing how some tiny little bits can grow into such nice buds :)

I switched to vertical a few yrs. back and love it!
I run a 600w sodium vertically, and have a few LED fixtures overhead.
Just finished a haze-hybrid run and it worked out great.
Ran them in .80 gal air pots, so they didn't get out of control in my 4x4 tent.

What do you plan to run?

I don't run vert so I can't help you there. I run the same basic light ratio you mentioned, a 600W HPS and a 400W MH and love the results.

IMO keeping them at 13/11 isn't necessary for veg, but 11/13 for flower helps tremendously getting Sats to finish. A couple of reasons I don't: my veg area also has less extreme plants that WOULD be triggered into flowering, and second I'll often run testers straight into flowering after the pop. in other words, they get 11/13 all the way through. So an 11/13 chamber, for me, isn't optimal area usage.

have fun, stay safe and good luck :)
