Nh4No3

Nh4No3

That's a pretty hot tip. Thanks.

Would the high N have anything to do with late to the party calyxes, or is that just another sat expression?

Now, what the hell is maxipad... got a link?

I'm laughing my ass off petflora! Yes dan is correct. I choose not to advertise nute co. So I use initials. Too answer ur question, yes but not just N but No3 & Nh4No3

My bad rives, my only acces to internet is my phone, so no keyboard. I will keep tht in mind, just makes it easier. Hope u understand

I'm gonna try to sound intelligent here. Never studied biology so bare wid me.

No3= nitrate
Nh4No3=ammonium nitrate

As hydro growers we r in complete control of providing our girls everything they need to thrive. As such I want to control what I'm feeding her. My understanding is nute companies use Nh4No3 as a filler nitrate because it's less $. Urea which is urine is another filler nitrate. IMO nute co. Use just enough so u can get by widout adversely effecting flowers. Our plants need No3 to produce to flowers. When our plants recieve Nh4No3 it lingers in her body after we stop givin it to her & now we do not have complete control. Imo, silica also lingers for awhile after I stop givin it to her. When our girls get No3, it's immediately available & not stored away. Imo, thts why plants receiving higher levels of Nh4No3 mid/late flower will have tendency to grow rather than fill. There will be more leave to bud ratio. Have u made/ recieved clones after flowering? After rooted give a bump in nitrogen, she will crack through tht flower with a leaf. This ex. is givin to show nitrogens effect on flowering clone/plant. Now imagine when u reduce/stop feeding flowering plant which recieved high levels of Nh4No3?

Can anyone tell me if they noticed the silica immediately after usin it or did it take awhile?

Hey petflora & dansb,
I have noticed this on all strains of cannibus but more so wid sativa dominant strains. Please also consider making that switch before week3 like maybe week 2 or any days in between? Peace

If you use v+b from seedlings you will see very strong main stem

Chris informed me that he 'improved' v+b a few months back. No idea how.

Maybe someone will ask

Can someone tell if they noticed the silica in vb immediately or did it take awhile?

Hey petflora,
When i say switching nutes after week3 wid less Nh4No3% I'm talkin bout 7-8 week feed sched. So it's all relative to the strain/pheno...so on that sativa dom u may wanna go weeks 4-5 wid the vb than switch. Or u may realize she does better if u switch earlier so there is less of a streatch in early bud set. Dnt be afraid to work wid this.

Thanks for the help, but next grow (or 2) I will be using med-mans Silver Skunk BX1, which is said to flower 60-70 days, harvest in early June, after which it gets too hot here, just when Sats are near harvest

i switch over to canna as soon as they're put into the flower room , cuz they are autofed in flower where i hand feed my veg . so when i put them into the flower room & fill the rez , its filled with canna nutes & they complete their cycle on them .

Just another product to get you to give them some more $$

Pretty funny. Let me guess - if they didn't offer it, then they should be kicked in the ribs for not offering "a complete line". Give it a rest.

just spoke to Chris At V+b

just spoke to Chris At V+b

I ask about the +size and he told me it would solve the problem of having to much n of any kind in late flower you just lower the Ec of the dirty and add the +size to maintain the correct ec and problem solved! I placed my order we will see how it goes i guess...

Hm... looks like "+size" as usual classic КН2РО4 (Monopotassium phosphate) +Mg, with little "magic" like unimportant additives from nutrient company.
By this reason I want to see guaranteed analysis of "+size"
And how to understand... if company claims what V+B is a complete nutrient what no need any additives.

I currently use V+B. but seems what something comes wrong in company strategy.

Waiting for news

When do you begin and how far into flower do you maintain 1000ppms? And is that an Indica, which seems to need more nute.

We are using the +size and dirty and hitting 2.1-2.5 EC with nothing but new growth all day. Our tap comes out around .3-.5EC so I guess that would be 1.9EC of nutes. Looking good tho, these are going to be really fat this round.

running an experiment with Sea Crop minerals (liquid)...

I am flushing @ ~ .0.5EC/250ppms

Decided to mix ~ 70ppms Sea Crop, the rest V+B RO formula

Hard to pin down its' effects as also I swapped out one UVL Red Life (red) for a ZooMed Florasun (bluish-pink).

2 days later I added the SC minerals, but prior to this temps jumped > 10*s, mid 80s day + humidity

Lots of new pistils

I have to harvest as a water pipe is leaking gallons of water into my kitchen. completely destroyed the particle board cabinets plus wall damage

I put off the adjusters until Friday.

Need to remove all evidence as they will likely need to go into that room, which has it's own bath

I pulled 3 colas for my biz partner that were low on the main branches... woohoo 2 ozs

Tried to get my forearm in the pic. That branch alone is > 16"

Pet flora, I wouldn't flush those plants mate. They're nowhere near ready.
