Hello Community,
What EXACTLY is a Plant doing during the Flowerperiod? And why some Strains need longer than others like Sativas?
Hello Community,
What EXACTLY is a Plant doing during the Flowerperiod?
It is trying to do what the tree frog is doing when it sits in puddles and sings.
Replication, the continuation of the Species.
I always wondered how sticky resin fits into the scheme, originally.
To help the pollen pods to stick to the plant so that pollen grains find individual pistils ?
Or is it also related to protection from the heat ?
At this point, the resin & THC (and other cannabinoids) work another way - the plants with the medically desirable traits get replicated.
It is theorized that it is a defense mechanism
I theorize that we have an evolutionary allelopathic relationship with the plant
yes I did just say that
it makes those chemicals to attract us as if we were meant to be its pollinator
and im gonna take one fucking giant hippy step forward and say that the plant is natures tool in getting us to consider nature from its own point of view
do tell?
Cannabis—more commonly known as marijuana—seems to have long ago adopted a strategy of tying its fortunes to humans, appealing in particular to our innate desire to alter consciousness, a desire that spans nearly every culture and historical period. In exchange, humans have gone to extraordinary lengths, often at their own peril, to help the plant grow and reproduce.
I have read somewhere that trichs are the plants way of protecting the seed from heat an the suns uv exposure. Other then catching pollen, It is there to protect the seed from the sun to ensure the seeds survival and not sterilized. This could be why her oils have such anti carcinogenic properties.
