I'm down with a DCD drop.
I got enough for a full run.
Everyone was happy with most of her qualities.

Ever thought about turning those 5 gal buckets into sippers?

you mean like a vertical feed connected?

that sounds like a pretty good idea, but i do get a lot of time with the girls and allows me to keep everything clean. i clean my tents every other week through veg until i set the scrog. also allows me the time to defoliate as the plants are growing. ive found that it reduces the chance of mold and lets the air move through better.

Lady's and gentle men, the start of gold hill's 2014 outdoor. Pimp daddy purps, minion city diesel and last and not lest is the goblin god (goblin girl x SGs purps). The MCD was preselected female seeds using the chart.

Basicly, take a second 5 gallon bucket use as res bucket, call the bucket soil in it the planter.

Put the planter inside the res, drill holes just below where the planter bottom stops inside the res ( overflow holes on the res).

Take planter in the center cut out a solo sized hole. You want the cup lip to stay I the planter. I use PVC pipe for the fill spout. What ever you use, cut hole on the inside of the bucket, but on the outer edge so your fill tube goes through the planter into the res, make sure the fill tube is not flat on the bottom of the res/ I drill a little notch in it so I know water will flow out. Then drill a bunch of little holes in the bottom of the planter so it can drip back into the res bucket.

When you fill the planter with soil, first slice some slits into the solo cup from almost the top to almost the bottom, four or five are fine. Put the cup in the bottom of the planter, with your fill pipe as well and start filling with great organic soil, once it's 1/4 full put inside the res.

Fill the rest as normal. The idea is water will wick up through your soil in the solo cup, and excess will drip back down into the res. this will keep the soil at its desired moister, you just need to keep water in the res. I can go a week with out adding water if I want, usually fill every 2 to 3 days though.

Hope this is understandable, with out these methods I would still be figuring out the watering technique, well probably not but this method helped me big time when learning, now I think it's just another great watering method.

Work shops are common place, no worries.
Glad you're aware of all the permits, you're ahead of the game.

My grow house is 12 x 32' outside dimensions.
Rooms are 11 x 11', 11 x 12' and work/lung room 11 x 8'.
All connected by 2 doors to pass straight through.
Both grow spaces have floor supplied air, and passive ceiling plenum.
You can design an 8 x 8' veg room into the work room, with a cutting table.
An 8 x 8 veg room will easily supply all the plants you need to keep both flower rooms.

The less times you have to carry plants outside, the better.
Keeping the whole grow in one building for max safety.

Oh man.. 12 x 32.. thats huge! I don't feel so glutenous about wanting a bigger building now. Haha

I think I'm gonna stick with the pre-fab. I found a slick one thats 16 x 24 for 6 grand that I might put in the shopping cart. I debating putting a slab out there cause the ground round here is really unstable, but I'll prolly just go with the leveling blocks to save me some bread.

Only problem I'm worried about is running electricity out there.. I don't have any more space the panel inside my house and I'm not totally sure that I can run an independant meter out there. I have a green transformer box out in my backyard, so I don't think I would have to dig too long of a trench to get it in there. :smoke:

I'm glad to have found you here, SG. I missed you on GC after they threw you out. I have a lot of reading to do to get caught up. I'm in for the ride.

Pier blocks are fast and easy for a shed.
Good way to go.

As far as electrical, add that to your permit list.
Once your building is ruffed in, call in an electrical contractor and get a bid from a professional that will make it right.
They can run a new line from your meter base into a new sub panel in your new shop.

Just make sure you have a list of power tools you'll need power for and their power needs.
Compressors, lathes, drill presses, dust control systems.
Just gotta act like any fella building a work shop, and need it done right.

Ohhh so they can add it in from the base where it meets the house? I thought they were gonna have to run it from a breaker in the panel like my current sub panel is set up. I been scratching my head on that one.. haha

Ok so I'm not gonna worry about water ran out there.. I'll just hook up the garden hose to the side of the shed and run the float valve to the big reservoir out there.. no need for waste water.

Ok, so I'll just worry about getting the ground level for the blocks out there. Wow that takes a lot off my work load and money back into the budget. Thanks for the point in the right direction. I hope you don't mind me stealing all your methods all the time, you just got it down dude.. I always give credit where credit is due though.

I told my wife it would't top 10 grand.. sure hope I can stick to that!

While I wait for my minion seeds to arrive and stare at the 3 posts counter thinking I'll take about 50 more weeks to be able to do anything useful on this forum I thought I'd tell a little story and ask for an onion.. err opinion.. I have this girl.. She arrived on my doorstep with a pounding on the door and footsteps fading as I opened the front door.. There it was a very sad seedling in some sawdust in a It's Not Butter tub..
With a transplant and some care it soon flourished and was flowered turning a nice red as she finished reinforcing her name of Red Headed Step Child I'd given her back when she first arrived.. Her first clone finished up even darker going to Deep Purple as she finished.. The current clone her third in the series has gone even darker into Black..
When I tracked down the source of the plant he admitted it was the lone seed from a bag of top shelf something.. Who's brain did I put in ?? abby someone.. Ok back to my little story..
This plant has mad skillz yo.. She far outstrips all the rest of my strains.. twice or better size and yield in the same time frame.. she clones easy and fast.. grows like a damn weed.. And does this whole ultra black finish.. Plus she finishes fast about 70 days from flip-transplant-kicked outdoors..
Is she the one ?? That magical strain we all search for ?? and do I change her name from RHSS to Black Flame.. She inspires me to want to continue her line.. Any advice at this point is welcome..

A bit of winter outside bud porn..
A suitable cross with one of the dark lords strains might produce an interesting offspring..

God! I hate unknown lineages.
A grower will take the unknown to the grave, and never know what he really had.

Interesting story and the pics are awesome.
The weed looks like it could breed to any of my darks.
I'd be looking for the shop and it's top shelf to find the baby daddy.

What are it's flavors and scents?
