I love it when I go to 'my posts' and see that there are new posts on the food porn thread. I ESPECIALLY love when there are multiple new pages I haven't seen yet and I get to have a virtual mouthwatering meal. cheers

maybe ask her to try this alternative, the finished dish tastes NOTHING like anchovies, it's amazing. My mom made this in a small sized electric skillet, it's served as a pasta side dish to seafood :)

The name of the dish I can pronounce, but can't even begin to spell :D

1/3 cup olive oil
1 garlic clove, crushed
1 (2 ounce) can anchovy fillet, in olive oil
fresh ground black pepper
1 lb angel hair pasta, cooked according to package directions
parmesan cheese, freshly grated for garnish

1) Heat oil in a small saucepan over medium low heat, add garlic and cook about 30 seconds.
2) Add anchovies along with the oil in the can, stir, cook 2 minutes (they will dissolve).
3) Season with pepper to taste and pour over pasta and toss.
4) Top with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.

8 Servings

METRIC:

78.07 ml olive oil
1 garlic clove, crushed
56.69 g can anchovy fillet, in olive oil
fresh ground black pepper
453.59 g angel hair pasta, cooked according to package directions
parmesan cheese, freshly grated for garnish

I took this recipe from the net but it is exactly the same as my mom used to make.
