First Run of Bubble Hash

Hey, what's up everyone? I just got some Bubble Bags in the mail and decided to give them a shot with some of my trim from my last Bruce Banner harvest.

I Believe I put in about 54g of trim and a few grams of bud just to see how it would go. These are some random bags, but they had a lot of really good reviews on amazon. I figured for $40 it was the best option for me to find out if I was really into making bubble. I'm hooked now.

Top to bottom: 190, 160, 120, 90, 73, 45, 25

I then micro planed it all and put it onto cardboard for drying.

Couldnt resist taking a marginal bit of the 90 to give it a test. Really nice. Full melt and very strong. I love good bubble.

Never done this before so not good at eye balling it. Hopefully I have at least 3 grams there on the cardboard. I'm really happy with my first run.

It's a lot more than I thought it would be. I'm sure it'll go smoother the next few times. It didn't even really go bad this time, I just know I wasnt being very efficient with my time. Should have ran it quicker I suppose, which I believe is better for the product in the end. Took me about an 45 minutes with the bags, but its below 0 where I live and i did it next to the open door to keep everything as cold as possible to try and preserve everything.
This is really quite amazing to watch as you do the work. Looking at the product under a scope is simply breath taking. Wish I had a better camera for closeups.

what should I use instead of that? Something like parchment right? They have that at walmart right? Always forget to pick that up..

I have a screen like yours that I put the hash on and spray it a few times with some cold water to get any contaminants off
I leave the hash there until its ready to be cured

Hey, thanks for checking this out everyone!
I think I will buy a few more of those pressing screens, as well as some parchment paper for next time.
I think micro planing and cheese grater are the exact same thing, I just never knew that before! Was thinking I was going to have to go back to the hardware store, but walmart had one that worked just fine.
Really helped the bubble to dry out evenly. Smokes really nice. The smell is incredible and varies a bit with each grade, that's so cool I think!

Oh yeah, and I forgot to mention this was all dried trim/bud that I used in the bags. Gonna run some fresh frozen next run and get even better results hopefully!

Now that I gotta figure out. Tried to do one once but dropped my dab while trying to focus. Second time I dropped the phone, hah!
Once my buddy wakes up I'm sure he'll want to drive down here and give it a shot, then I should be able to get some nice shots

Thanks man! I scooped em all, and by the time I was done with the 25 micron they'd all dried out a bit on the pressing screen. I then put them straight into the freezer for about 20 minutes, then microplaned them.
So I'd say I let them dry on the pressing screen for about 15-20 minutes or so before freezing & microplaning.

Thank you so much man, I really appreciate that! I do try to be as precise as I can and to follow all of the tips I've learned. Good Bubble Hash is what it's all about for me. I dont want to skip a single step while making it.


My next run I will be using distilled water again, but this time I'm making distilled water ice cubes to use too. I bought some cheap ice trays at walmart that appear to be just about right. They're that kind of oval shape, and I fill them about 3/4 of the way to make sure they keep that sharp edge for scraping off those trichomes.
I will also make sure to cool my distilled water down a bit too. This run the water was probably at about 70-75 or so when I poured it onto the ice. Melted a lot more than I was expecting, and I think I didnt have as well as an extraction as I should have.

Its nice keeping notes.. and recipes.. for everything! I ran the Deathstar cut for a few years I can't remember the screen pore size exactly but some came out a straight amber sand/goo that would take shape but would just fall back to a blob at room temp.. hard to handle the stuff but man... that diesel fuel deathstar..

oh.. and not sure if ya saved the material at all... it doesn't hurt to run the batch the initial run.. the run it a time or to more.. with just a screen or 2.. hey its an experiment. I use a dig thermometer in the bucket from time to time. use plenty of ice. and the water usually reads 30-31F... 1-2 below freezing.. not sure if it reads correct...

Nice. Yeah, I saved the mix. It's been freezing outside where I live so I put it in my shed just in case. Figured I'd do just that, run it again with only 2 or 3 screens.

So I don't have the best dabbing setup (and the dome is lame as shit I know. cheap replacement).
I'd really like to get an electric nail, but can't really find one anywhere online and they're damn expensive in the head shops & dispensaries.
Wish I could get a better picture, but this gives ya an idea at least.
Hash is completely dry and was made from cured material as well so no moisture making those bubbles

Bought a mini washing machine for agitating the bubble mix. Works really well. I started with about 3 oz of trim (Bruce Banner and Deathbubble). I havnt been able to weigh it, (still drying) but there looks to be a good amount. Probably more than I've gotten on all the other runs I've done before. Very pleased so far.

tried a little bit after pressing it and it was full melt and very strong. Great flavor as well.
