How much space can a 8 bulb t5 light up effectively?

I use 2-8 bulb T5's to light up 4 x4.That might be overkill tho.

I'd say it's recommended. 600w HPS is cheaper+brighter than two 8 bulb t5's. Cant beat the T5's for veggin though.

I use a Quantum 8 bulb over a 2 x 4, an extra 1-200 watts would be nice

If I had it to do over, I would get either 3 @ 2 bulb or one 4 bulb and 2 @ 2 bulb

Probably wind up with > half a pound wet

They only light up directly under the fixture.
Theres almost no light shooting off to the sides at all
T8s ftw!
