advice needed regarding second purge bho

Hello to everyone,after many hours spent on this forum reading mostly about concentrates i couldnt resist anymore to register so here i am,one of the many who are trying to achieve bho and fail :/

Over the past few weeks i read some threads about how to winterize/purge bho on double bath since i dont have vac chamber yet.
Some of the posts were written by a few guys here who caught my attention and who i believe are well documented in extracts like Graywolf,gunnknow,jump and a few others and i gotta say i tried to do it the way ive read about it.

Basically after i let the bho purge in the hot bath till very few or none bubbles at all i mix it into iso 99% iso and let it sit 24-48 hours in freezer which i filter after and put the pyrex once again to purge on hot bath,without any thermometer i dont know exactly what temp to keep it on but i always make sure water is hot but doesnt start to boil and ive tried it with 3 different batches of 10-18 grams of bho and i have to say there is still butane in it since i take a small sample and light it up and it sizzles quite strong but absolutely no bubbles in the pyrex visible to the eye.
Im afraid to raise the temp since i dont want to ruin the terps or get the extract darker than it already is.
All advise is welcome folks,im getting a little frustrated here since ive read many times that bho is evaporated by the times the alcohol is (99% iso) in my case and i dare to say it is not true,at least in my case.

do smaller batches.. depening how big ur pyrex is.. u want a thin film.. literally.. like thin like paper thin.. so if u have a big pyrex u can fit like 10 grams a shot.. keep thin.

if u don't have cash to get a vac and chamber its going to take a lot longer then u think to purge.. especially to get some amazing shatter that's clear with no lil bubbles in it at all.

I made my first batch of bho after many weeks of reading..... I didn't winterize mine though.... i just blasted....water bath..... & a long heat purge(5.5hrs.)no vac chamber...getting one verry soon.....no sizzles..snaps...pops.....nice & smooth.....

That was going to be my next step,thanks for mentioning it,i feel like im running out of ideas honestly.
I had it for roughly 4-5 hours in double bath by the way.

Indeed ICMAG is among the best forums and i have been on and off reading about extracts past few months and felt like i needed to register.
Ive pretty much done it the same way with glas extractor,coffee filters,Colibri tane and let it purge slow on double bath,i dont lack patience and this last batch im talking about was sitting on stove for 4-5 hours.
Strange thing is that i had 2 different batches at same time one from leafs and tiny buds of outdoor random and the other batch which im concerned of from (kush and white widow nugs),not the batch from leafs is significantly darker but doesnt show any sizzles at all even thou both batches have been sitting on the stove on bath same ammount of time and same tech,both after winterizeing.

I do a colder purge but only takes 2 hours and the stuff is straight gold. After I blow the butane thru the tube I go to hot water baths no warmer than a jacuzzi about 100 degrees. 2 or 3 of the water baths. About 30 mins. Then I go to a uv reptile light. 2 bulbs. 150w each. About 1 1/2 hours there. And it's done! Super clean never sparks and smooth. 565g of trim > 102.2g of gold bho

Hi and thank you for taking time to read and reply to my post,if you have the time to explain why you think it could be water i'd very much appreciate it,i had no idea water can sizzle if in contact with fire.

I forgot to mention that when i took a tiny dab to test it and it "sizzled" it appeared that on the spot i touched the needle in pyred very very tiny bubbles appeared but im not sure if it might have been air bubbles forming or actual butane trying to find its way out.

I would post pictures but with my iphone i doubt the pics would be any good considering what beautiful pics people load up in here.

I believe your sizzle is butane. If you run to hot at any point during the purge it forever changes the bond or structure of the oil and gas. That's usually why it turns brown also. Tends to be harsh smoke then also. Stay cooler on the temps. It will purge. Remember butane boils at 72 degrees

Ive tried the colder baths but it seems there is little to no reaction once the water gets cold and there for i heat the water,ive read several times about people purging it with cold water or "colder" but for me it doesnt work,also the uv light sounds interesting although i ve never heard of it before im gonna try to do some research on it.
I must say that the bho in your pics doesnt look at all like what mine or what i usually see on others pics,dont get offended im not trying to offend you just curious.

My trim is very clean and oily. No one taught me to make bho and my method is based on mere perception of the process itself and lots of practice doing so. does not make me an expert or my finished product superior in anyway. but if u like what you see. i would be happy to share my insight/experiences. Butane I use is whip it brand zero impurities. Not sure if that makes a diff but that's what I use. I have also found the "higher" quality trim produces the finest and most quantified yields

tried again to purge one of the batches in a bigger pyrex of 9x13` so i only transfered half of the oil roughly 7-9 grams,very thin i must say.
Turned the stove on 120F for about 2 hours (its a induction Nuwave) by the way,no bubbles at all visible during this time so i turned it to 160F for about another 3 hours and still no bubbles.
What ive noticed is that the oil was covered with a ziploc bag and when i opened it it smelled strong alcohol,i waws surprised as i thought that iso 99% evaporates at room temp and its been sitting for about a week at room temp after purge.
Can anyone link me to boiling temps for terps,trichs,thcÉ cant seem to find it anymore,oh also boiling point of iso%99 please.

Wow. That below freezing! Interesting stuff that bubbly gas. So why do people tend to purge so hot? Seems like the lower temps work best
