Seeking scrog friendly strain recs

I'm expectting to setup a new indoor garden in the spring. Would like help picking out 2-3 strains that work well in a scrog. Ideally something than can get close to 1/gpw to start and eventually get close to 1.5/gpw once dialed in. Also must finish in 10 weeks max.

I'll be using 600w hps, the biggest hoods I can find, and organic soil/nutes. No co2. I'm going to veg for 2-3 weeks, expecting each flowering plant to have just 1 cola.

Considering c99 (not sure iit'll yield enough) and Chronic (not sure about quality).

Anything too stinky is a problem (I realize skunk based strains yield best, for the most part, but can also be the smelliest).

Open to all criticism and ideals. This setup will be much different than what I've done in the past.

Pretty much any strain will do good in a scrog, my current scrog I'm using a super squat little pheno that will grow into a single cola if left alone and it worked great. The more sativa leaning probably the better, easier to fill out the screen but I could also see outgrowing the screen being a possibility with some strains.

My 1k room has 3 phenos ranging from lanky, super bushy and the squat single cola plant. The lanky guy is filling the screen the fastest but they all are working good :)

I think I'm looking for hybrids mainly. I don't want too much stretch or a modest yield. One massive cola is what I want. Climate is very dry, so bud rot isn't really a concern.

I ran Mosca's C99 in scrog repeatedly and never had trouble filling the screen and keeping all the tops within a few inches of each other.

I'm kinda leaning toward Female Seeds on the C99 since I'm on a budget. People seem to be getting good results with theirs, but I'll check out some Mosca C99 grows if I can.

I'm trying to understand why you want to scrog when you also say you only want the plant to have only one cola (the top)? I have grown some Qleaner that really didn't have many side branches, on one the main cola was 22 inches long.

May not use a screen. Definitely sog or scrog though. I understand what you're saying though, I'm more *imaging* the screen as a way of regulating the amount of space for each plant rather than forcing branches to spread out (and making the canopy easier to level).

Because I'm using soil, it'll be a lot easier to to manage run off without a screen actually, without a complex setup.

I think I've narrowed down my search pretty well...

RD - 501st og
TCC - Chem 4 og, boss hogg
FMS - c99
Delicious - critical sensi star, northern lights blue
CSG - grateful casey
DNA - Snowland (romulan and snowcap cross, crossed with LA con)
Next Gen - grapegod
Barney's - blue cheese

Need to narrow that list down to 2-3 packs and 4-6 singles.

Out of that list the 501st is prolly only strain I would run as a plant id keep for the long run in future grows, one of my first noob grows like 6-7 yrs ago I ran wonder woman from nirvana for yeild. Had humongo colas size of 2litre bottles. You have to ask yourself. Quantity or quality

It'd be nice to find an authentic chem #4, that's one of my all time favorites. Anybody besides TCC have a great representation of chem #4? Minimal fuel & lemon, just really smooth and powerful chem flavor...

The 501st sounds like a great mix of both quantity and quality, pretty sure I'm in for a pack of that.

Snowland sounds alright, should work well in SOG, rom and snowcap aren't the most enticing, but should have a good balance of yield, quality, and finishing time.

I feel the C99, NL Blue, and Critical Sensi should all work well in a SOG and might still have bag and smoke appeal.

Here are some real great strains to look at.... I would only do 501st out of your list.

Love triangle-bodhi
Lemon stomper-hazeman
Molokai kush-hazeman
American kush-alphakronik
Alphadawg-alphakronik
Ghostrider v2.0-karma
Sins og-sin city

Just to name a few...

I have always believed Sannnie's Jack would be a kick ass scrogger as well!

I'd imagine so as well. Those jack colas grow to football size

Ive scrogged extrema a couple times, single and double plants in a small tent and 3 gal pots. They grow vigorous and branchy and are just perfect for weaving up a screen with as both parents are pretty branchy.

Potent, smelly, great bag appeal, good yield wrapped up in a 9 - 9.5 week package

And they're feminized so you dont have to fuck around with males
