hello neighbor, can't help you much but i think you can find kelp powder in bags from the animal feed store, think it's intended for horses as a supplement. at least it's availabe in finland so i presume sweden too.

for humic powder i know that bioag's ful-humix is available, look here, can order it from the website: http://health-solution.eu/website/index.php/en-AU/products-for-plants

that's all i can think of.

You can always make your own compost or get worms.

I use a seed heating mat and an 18 gallon (sorry dont know liters) rubbermade tote. I let the new compost sit for 4 days then stir it every 2 days. The heating mat really kick starts the microbes. I get about 4-5 finished gallons in 30 days or so. When I start an new batch I may start a thread, but this is pretty much it. You can really customize these small batches, plus very low cost.

This may not be enough or may take too long but something to think about.

Do you have access to mushroom compost? That would be a 'base'....mix in area manure....best to 'bake it' so you don't get bugs and gnarly weeds in manure.

Go to the country...sheep, geese, or other manure should be available in the rural parts of Sweden....much better to pay for gas to be adventurous than "shop" via eBay or Amazon.UK!!!!!!

You should be able to buy Epsom Salt in the pharmacy...box or bag. Used for bruises, arthritis soaks, short term laxative.....use my left over hot Epsom salt soak water for arthritis (recycle) mixing in water from snow/rain. Works well. It's just magnesium....magnesium sulfate.

Humic is peat....does Sweden have peat bogs? I'd think so....

Isn't there seaweed on the beaches? Gather up and dry....then pulverize....mix together with your other ingredients.

I'm gathering geese turds....hundreds hang out nearby....go I so for walks, rake up turds. Plan to mix w/ soil, mushroom compost.....or make into a tea for supplemental nutrients in my veggie garden (going to do straw bale gardening this spring/summer).

Start digging up earth worms this spring and put in soil (lay boards over soil area....earth worms tend to congregate where there's shelter from rain, cold.etc....amazing how they can break down material. Cut in half, they heal and keep digging, breaking down soil.

Thanks for the replies I will take a closer look at this. I like the idea of finding things naturally and saving money but I am going to need quite a bit of ingredients for these plots. Thanks again.

Didn't realize you were doing 'mega' garden....lol. Good luck in your search to obtain ingredients for organic!!! Let us know how your garden grows!! Keep on gathering....organic doesn't have an expiration date!! Ha! Ha!

I hear you can get comfrey pellets over there, i would grab those up if i could.

You should be able to find kelp meal somewhere being coastal. You may have to substitute some things, see if you can get in touch with local organic gardeners and see what they are using.

Thanks everyone. I have located blood meal, bone meal, chicken pellets for manure, and cow manure in bags. Would that be enough to cover the organics?

Those ingredients sound like a good start. As stated earlier in this thread, kelp and I would also add wood ash.

You will be trying to activate microbes which will break down the nutrients so maybe a couple compost teas throught the season and as always, mulch.

I have great results with compost. You can top dress with compost or make teas. Might want to start some compost now and it will be ready by the time you need it.

It will work, but those ammendments are pretty raw, so i would make sure you have them mixed in proper proportions.

Blood and chicken shit are both quite high in nitrogen, so watch those two in combination.

Try a Chinese Market for Kelp chop it up in a blender or coffee grinder, you might also want to buy some fish guts and bones, chop in blender for blood and bone meal. Chinese markets have almost everything you would need, seed meals, aloe, etc..

Nice Stereotypo!

Core - Did you ever source any kind of base to mix this with?

Sorry I just somehow seen this post!

I found blood meal and bone meal. Garden lime. Cow Manure and chicken manure pellets. But that was it.

No worm castings
No bat quano
No kelp or seaweed

I can only find the basics, and its damn expensive in sweden. Every fucking thing is. 12 dollars for a 1 1/2 pound box of blood meal. Same with bone meal. It was damn near 15 dollars for one 15 liter bag of chicken manure. Same price for cow manure. If I had my own property I would make compost and call it good. But its not an option.

When I couldn't get that stuff, I grew without it. Now that I can get it, I still grow without it.
Try to get some worms and start a small bin.

Thanks brother. Very much appreciated. Prices dont seem too bad at first glance. It might just be me, but it seems hard to source things on the net when it comes to sweden. If I google germany, or UK, I can seem to find anything. There must be some secret to unlocking items in sweden through the internet. Anyway I appreciate it!

How "Organic" do you need/want. Is this a legal thing/a conscience thing/ or a "I think it will be better" thing.

If it is the last, Kelp4less.com would be worth looking at. They have everything you wanted (I am board and curious so I checked) at either the "natural" or (quote from their website) "Natural (This product is a candidate for organic certification. To ensure the lowest price, Kelp4Less has chosen not to register this product.)"

A half ass shopping cart of their smallest quantities came to $106.00. It is free shipping in the USA, not sure about Sweden, but it might be worth contacting and asking. Or maybe a friend in the USA could send it to you, as you would not have to pay shipping twice.
