Bud trimmer question

hey guys.. i had a question on bud trimmers.. just trimed my frist plant the other day that took like 3 hours including a friend to get 7.5oz semi wet weight(plant was hung for a week to start to dry out) trimmed.

now i was looking online at bud trimmer machines.. now i know they will save me alot of time on trimming so i dont mind spending 200-500 rang for one.. not looking for anything super crazy.

but i got a couple questions..

1) will the trimmer chop off alot of the bud besides the unwanted leafs?

2) will it lose extra resin glands, by using a machine instead of by doing it by hand?

i was looking at these guys and figured i woudl ask more experinced peoples input

All machine trimmed won't smell as good as material that's been dried first, then trimmed. The hay smell you get with machines is supposed to be the chlorophyll but I'm sure there are other components to it. The trim bowl works well though for a time saver.

How many harvests have you had to trim? You'll get faster/mor efficient with more experience. Im sure I could trim at least 2oz per hour (dry) and I am relatively new to growing.

Ive never used one. Cant imagine you get the control of hand trimming but thats more of an aesthetic thing. Also believe most trimmers only do medium/large buds. Smaller buds will get eaten up by the machine and small shit is the biggest pain to trim by hand.

Youd still have to remove the fan leaves right? The leaves that grow out at the base of buds need to be cut flush with the stem. I would think trimmers would just cut the leaves and leave the petiole and that looks terrible IMO.

Around here most do a elbow a day minimum if they are pros. Machines are good if you're commercial OD growers. I say hand trim, dry, for the win.

You will loose a few glands, docent cut off much bud though. IME its a night and day difference with dry trimmed herb and wet trimmed. I prefer the dry trim. People are crazy and amazing (usually) I have personally seen a person mow through 5 elbows in one day. They were cherry picking for sure though.

Recently precise cutting bud trimmers are available for both dry and wet trimming. They save time and money. Because only one machine can do work of 25 people alone.

Centurion pro and Twister are in top position. We supply centurion pro, twister, trimpro and spinpro.

The Twister is awesome but soo expensive.. we rented one.
Trim Pro smeared the trichomes but saved lots of time.. Did a unit per hour Vs. 1 unit by hand in 8 hours..
The UltraTrimmer would be my next choice,, got to fondle one and was impressed..
Hand trimming is my number 1 method,, I have some great friends that come help.
Good luck....

at 2 oz an hour, that would take 224,000 hours to finish 1000 pounds......
How does this math work?
2 oz an hour x 8 hours = 16 ozs = 1 pound
1000 pounds x 8 hours = 8000 hours
If you are cleaning 1000 pounds you definitely need a machine.......and a large group of lawyers on retention.
