My vote is for Oblivion (Afgooey x The purps).
Seems like a good combo.
Pimp Daddy Purps (GDP x The Purps) would be second for purple color and flavor.

You're in the right place. You will find out that our very own Iron has his bud shot on the home page of IC Mag. That's how the minions roll.

C4 is a great source of the details. Here's a short version. Alfalfa will provide a big boost of nitrogen and should not be used after the first few weeks of flowering. Kelp on the other hand is the best all around for a nutrient tea. It will provide lots of 'food' for your micro herd and contains a diversity of minerals that the plant needs. I make a kelp meal tea and feed my plant/micro herd every two weeks.

Welcome to the minions thread.
A place to share knowledge, mad science in an understandable way, and foremost, kindness and respect.

All are welcome here :tiphat:

Genetic drift, genetic memory, de-stabilized are a few of the terms used to indicate that a cutting line has went astray.

In my case, I had my only halo's outdoors with no back up cuttings.
The outdoor Halos began preflowering from an unusually cold and cloudy spring.
By the time I took cuts, it was too late.
Since then, Halo wants to flower.
I tried to revert her with 24 hrs light, after that, she wants to flower even more.

Others claim that potency and vigor are lost from drift, but in my case, just can't get a good veg from her anymore.
Luckily, breeding is not an issue for Halo.
Still using the original cut for seeds, but her original vigor is extinct.

its most likely just a plant which doesn't have the ability to switch back and forth in flower. genetic drift (if its even possible in cannabis) would indicate a change in the actual dna of the plant.

It is possible to change the dna through chemical means such as miticides.... there is also much evidence that flowering makes changes that upon revegging or cloning from a flowering plant... those changes persist... such as the early flowering desires of halo....

SG... was halo also the strain that has stopped throwing many fingered leaves after re-vegging?

@SG1: I'd like to know more
about Jihad and it's lineage..

choom(0:

Jihad is the last living plant from my beginning of growing.
She is from a mother afghany indica brought over from Afghanistan in the late 70's.
She was bred from a male recovered from seed from some pressed afghany bud smuggled with a load of blonde afghany hash.

She is a high desert indica cross which has evolved very short pistols for frost protection.
Not a very flavorable weed, but potent and hardy.

I simply use Dr. Duke's Phytochemical and Ethnobotanical Databases

What!!? You didn't type all that from memory.

I've looked at those databases and have them bookmark but I'm still trying to wrap my head around the basics. They are a great source for details. Sometimes knowing where to look is just as good as memorizing the details.

The actual genetics probably don't change.
Maybe a different term is in order.

Weed, much like the metamorphosis of a butterfly, the caterpillar contains the same DNA as the butterfly.
Bud has the same DNA as the vegging plant.
There are chemical processes that do change to allow budding.
In some plants, they just can't go back to a veg state completely.

But I know for sure, the changes are real, though the scientific description of the problem may be incorrect.

@SG1: Sounds very favorable to me, coincidentally how the O.R. came to the mainland in '73 was very similar! My mentor used to be a hash dealer before he grew; sitting on and selling shipments from his older brother - and one time a customer came back hysterical about a single seed in a pressed brick of Afghan premo, to which my boss was just very forgiving over - the man then goes NO!! NO!! YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!!! and leaves after acting more celebratory briefly. Months later, that same man comes back with bud that was unlike my boss had ever smoked at the time - and he invited him back to his place a little down the same Bambi Farms road..where my mentor was introduced to indoor growing and got started. A lot of very rich history down that valley road.. now the best ice cream in the PNW!! :tiphat:

The O.R. is the mother used in the cross Deadman, both are clone only; The jihad seems like a specimen I would love to breed with

I have a clone which is around 25years old.. shes lost her vigour over time, she has been in hands of those who could have done more to preserve her. unfortunately I understand your pain but I hope that by crossing her I can find some of her best features in the offspring but im not sure. ive read so much about genetic drift and it has been proven in a few trees etc but not cannabis. I actually thing that its more to do with old age and poor expression of genes (im my clones case) rather than true genetic drift or the genes actually spontaneously changing. have you thought of taking your strain to s1 or bx??
