Well I took longer than I planned but I'm back with the small start to my 2nd run...had a little seed trouble unfortunately, but I had plenty so no worries. Long story short, 12/17/13 I popped 4 of one seed and 3 of another. The latter 3 all came up but were slow and I"ve been trying to get sprouts up in the other cups. Just got a couple pics of how I re-rigged my cfl's last night and an up-close of the 3 babies...which i hope turn out well since they came from some great christmas bud i had couple weeks ago.

Hello all, hope everyone's new year got off to a great start...figure its been a week so time for an update.

-here's what i got going on

...the far right set of three just got popped last night so we'll see about those in due time.

...thinking the one on top will probably wind up a male considering its vigor, but I've started LST on them and topped the top and left ones...also not sure whats up with the one leaf on the bottom one but it doesn't really seem to be hindered, and so far that one is my favorite because of its structure.

Guess that's about it, coming along nicely yet again, no complaints. Til next time... :)

Well I was gonna wait a full week to post an update, but I did transplant yesterday, and did some rearranging in the tent to let the fan hit the oldest three a little better... so I couldn't resist.

-Here's a full group shot, transplanted the middle three



-These shot up at some point within the time I tended to the tent yesterday and when i did earlier,actually in the same cup...moved it to one of the others earlier since those seeds fizzled and tossed the third cup


-Middle three, really seem to have taken well to the transplant. Quite
a bit of growth for about a days time


-Right set of three and the oldest. Said it before, but the bottom
one is really my favorite out of the bunch so far. The right one is looking a little sad, think i might have overwatered a bit but it should bounce back. The top one i topped again earlier...just to do it really.

Just updated a few days ago, but like sharing...figured I'd give a little more detail as well.

-Here's the headcount shot, but I added the text so that they can all be distinguished. Since I don't know what strains I'm growing due to all the seeds just being taken from the great bags of schwag I've been collecting for a little while, I just gave them a letter when I planted them with the dates they were planted marked as well. The only one that remotely means anything is the one I labeled "C"...as it came from a fantastic bag of christmas bud, that was all lime green and whatnot, over the holidays last month. I assume everything I'm working with came from Mexico though, or maybe further south.



-Z(1) & Z(2)-1/5/14: Slowly doing their thing. I accidentally snapped Z(1) at the base, but not completely, so I bent a paper clip into a support.



-A/T/C: Coming along really well, all three actually about 4 inches or so above soil and noticeable growth daily. Started LST on them today.



-Z/X(12/17)/X(12/21): Looking better everyday.

-Z(12/21): Closer look at what seems to be a botched topping by myself, causing it to grow as such...with just the one branch. Appears to be doing just fine though.



-X(12/17): Perked up rather nicely after my last update. I counted 5 top sites. Topped it again as well on all sites.



-X(12/21): Just been letting this one do its thing and left it alone, til today...got a little rough LST-wise...but I really like what its been doing.

Minor update

Minor update

Transplanted X(12.21) & Z(12.21) into bigger grow bags last night before I crashed out, didn't wanna use the whole gallon size so I cut the excess off to about halfway.



Already been a noticeable smell when walking in my room...different from last grow (then again i didn't have 8 plants), but not so much that something like a glade plug in or something similar won't cover it. Would like to start flowering soon so I can get my number of plants down, just wanted to make sure the best I could to get enough females. Thinking I might flip and turn on the 150-hps within the next week.

Thanks chief :) ...actually I've just been using water. I use fox farms ocean forest, so there's already enough to keep it through veg. Once I flip, I do have their Grow Big, Big Bloom, and Tiger Bloom nutes also at my disposal. If I wind up needing/wanting to use them, I might just use as little as possible.

I like both of the X plants and the Z plant even with those leaves she going strong. What strain are these? I'm currently running three plants under a 150w hps, what size tent are u using?

I labeled them a random letter so I could differentiate between plants/seeds they came from, but I have no idea what they are as far as strain...I've just been collecting seeds from some of the outstanding bags when I've gone get some schwag from my guy since last summer, pretty sure its all brickweed but its really great every time. If I had to guess I'd say its all from Mexico but I don't know, wish I did though. My tent is a 2.5ft x 1.5ft x 3ft, and also have a 150 I got to use all of 4 days on my 1st grow(took forever to finally get it,money tight and whatnot) so can't wait to fire that up and see what comes out of this run, production-wise.

Pictures taken yesterday and somehow left one (x-12.17) out, just getting around to posting and noticed. I will probably update again though in a few days. I flipped to 12/12 today and also turned on the 150w-hps. I don't quite have the ventilation I need to let it run and I have to be careful when I leave the tent open but I was able to for about 4 hours...figure better to at least use it when I'm able for the mean time.

Good to see the grow still coming along well. I am using the exact same tent you are and I was wondering do you plan to stick with this amount of plants in the tent or maybe finding two keepers from the bunch and growing two med size plants?

Thanks again chief, I too am happy...seems to be coming along without a hitch, I have had no problems. I'm gonna wait till everything shows sex and go from there as to what I'll keep. I would prefer to have/keep 3 females and the two small white cups for a seed making experiment (unless they both turn out male, if so i'll probably just toss those), to try my hand at that before I get some good stuff off the bay.

Hello all, update day again...everything still coming along nicely. Well not quite everything, Z1 & Z2 in the little white cups died...not sure why, but no worries from me. I got a fan brought to me by a buddy of mine so Ive been running just the HPS. After one week of flowering, still uncertain what sex anything is, no balls though so far.

Yeah looked like those two were slow anyway maybe that whole group was doomed from the jump. Random question but how long would you estimate it took the seedling roots to fill the cups?

Hello again...time for another, actually a day late because of work. Took all the pics yesterday, just didn't get my update up. To answer your question first chief, I would have to say the roots filled up about as fast as each plant progressed...I didn't pay close enough attention to really get it to a science though.
