No plaque with the ROMPER ROOM title, just be sure to warn folks..Beware, toys all over!

We have a drift of leaves from Autumn that I was too lazy to remove from beside the stairs. Cricket loves to grab leaves and then systematically tear them up, bit by bit. Really strange, but harmless. She doesn't try to eat them, just likes to rip 'em up.

Patches does the same thing with leaves...EXCEPT....
she brings them inside to shred, along with sticks, on the new light colored carpet. The two must be related.

Missy sure is cute snoozing on the sofa! She looks completely exhausted. :dance013: jpt

I'm not worried about the leave thing. Just never had a dog do that before. It's pretty cute actually. She gets so happy. We should get Cricket and Patches together to do our yard work.

And yes, Missy is sleeping very soundly these days.

We're having trouble getting shots of Cricket doing cute stuff. As soon as you get the camera, she comes running over to mug. What a ham!

while each of my springers were puppies they'd chase leaves being blown along the ground, it was always funny to watch them suddenly notice and then lock their eyes on a tumbling leaf as if it were prey. I'm sure I have one or two leaves, kept for years just to be stashed away in my passed dog shrines, I know I have several sticks that were favs of theirs too.

Got a couple of more pics today.

Cricket got into the tissue box and snagged the last few remaining tissues. What followed was an epic battle. Here we see the victor resting after demolishing her dread foe.

Then there's the tandem, "what? we're being good" look.

she wakes up to new adventures every day, what a life.

and as far as the "we're being good" look, younger dogs always adapt to the behavior of the older dog in the house, Missy's teaching her well :)

my new dogs always take cues from the older dogs as to who is friend or 'not' as they arrive @ my door, delivery men get barked @ while the garbage man (a personal friend) gets loved up because Alice treats him differently from years of knowing him, Scooby follows suit.

when my dogs come inside (whether wet or dry) they kennel immediately into separate kennels w/o being asked, Scooby learned this fast from Alice, they both stay until I give them the "OK" to come out.

You get out exactly what you put into the pet/owner relationship.......

Amen.

Last night Cricket was being stubborn about coming in from the yard. While I was waiting, Missy quickly took advantage for a tummy rub while Cricket couldn't sneak attack her. She really got into it, but after a while she jumped up and went over to the door looking at me like, "let Cricket in" Chuckling to myself about Missy mothering the puppy I opened the door and Cricket finally came back in.

Cricket sees the vet again on Friday. I'm real interested in her official weight. She seems to grow every day.

That picture is absolutely Priceless.

My dog loves to get into tissue too. Except, she abandons the scene and doesn't fall asleep, when finished with the tissue!

What a good dog; she is 'owning it.' jpt

Heh, well Cricket is pretty headstrong. It's a breed trait. Greater independence for herding. She doesn't shame easy.

Funny thing is when Cricket is doing something that would get Missy into trouble if she were doing it, Missy gets this horrified look on her face. You can just read her thinking, "no, you'll get in trouble!"

You may also note that Missy is nowhere in that picture of Cricket and her tissue massacre. She made herself scarce.

We've been taking the mutts out back to run, but I keep forgetting to bring the camera.

Today I remembered.

With the new snow, Cricket was running her ass off.

Beautiful dogs Skunkxx & S4L.

That is a really good shot of them running in the snow. I think you and I have similar tastes in dogs S4L. My sympathies on Kayla's passing. She was a sweetie I can tell.

Anyone else that feels led to share pics of their mutts on this thread, please do.

I don't mind a bit. :tiphat:

Cricket was to the vet for a booster today. She weighed in at 13.5 lbs. Obviously I was too high to operate a bathroom scale when I weighed her earlier.

She's healthy and all the folks at the clinic remarked how friendly and happy she seemed. The vet concurred with Weez and even recommended a saddle shop . . . the Weez is wise.

Ain't she adorable?
