Hi, pretty big stoner here and recently started growing again. Overgrow.com used to be my favorite cannabis website. I first grew about 10 years ago. Back then I ordered sweet tooth #3, bog's bubblegum, Nirvana afghani and I got a free pack of Haze 19 x Skunk. In a way I had some really bad luck with the phenos I got, everything was terrible except for the Haze 19 x skunk, which is some of the best pot I've ever smoked. A thin but fast flowering Haze 19 pheno is the only thing I grew for a few years. It relaxed my muscles unlike any other strain (or pills) and am a bit disappointed it's not available any longer. It was very energetic too. I loved it.

Fast forward a decade and I finished college, no longer with my s/o, am in Denver, and picked up a few clones. Right now I have pre-98 Bubba Kush, Black Bubba and Sage and Sour flowering. I also have Chernobyl, Stardawg (its stinky already), and another bubba kush vegging.

I've tried a lot of dispensary weed and to be honest it looks great but it generally doesn't compare to that semi-low-yielding haze 19 pheno I raved about. Sour diesel is the only thing that I think the high is comparable to.

But I like indicas too, and I remember in Houston my friend had like a half pound of some super sticky bud, it tasted really hashy and put me and my buddy to sleep after smoking a blunt of it every time. That's not a high I have ever experienced again and it's possible that it had opium in it (it made us nod out) after a blunt, but that's not very likely. This wasn't homegrown, it was just really, really, really good semi-compressed schwag/mids. I'm hoping that the Bubba Kush will be comparable.

Now, since the Haze 19 x skunk is no longer available I am hoping to order some Bangi Haze seeds. I plan to eventually herm a lower BK bud so I can cross it with Bangi Haze.

I'm just a stoner from Denver growing this wonderful plant. Need a root canal so im dry until my current plants finish flowering, but I am still thankful to live somewhere with actual freedom in terms of cannabis.

Peace :tiphat:

Don't envy your root canal.

Sounds like some nice strains. I've grown several you mentioned. It's all good. Dispensaries should be ashamed for what they produce....I'm not impressed.

Much prefer GYO.

Word. If people grew their own they would question if dispensaries are only flowering cuts that provide yield over high. Not to mention whether these businesses use potentially harmful chemicals like bifenthrin or imidacloprid.

Nice to hear your growing again. I love growing in the Colorado climate. Keep it frosty. Dispensary I get smoke from when I'm dry is straight connoisseur! From rarest strains to outright quality flush trim finish. Some shops do good work is all I'm saying. Anyways. Don't worry about ordering seeds here in co. The best strains in the world are here. Might just take a little looking and some good friends. What medium and basic growing methods do you practice?

My type of gardening always start with seeds....tomatoes, chiles, veggie garden, perennials, annuals, herbs....and cannabis >connoisseur, medically sound. To each their own in growing....

Nurseries, Garden departments cater to those wanting plant instead of starting flower/vegetable seeds.... it's all good.

Personally, it's an awesome wonder watching seed to harvest. And...I KNOW how mine is grown....no or very sparse chemicals (BEASTIE for blooming mid-late season....).

MGB: Giving credit where credit is do: Denver dispensaries do have some nice sour diesel. Just growing soil here. Small 400 watt light, but it'll be enough to start my medicinal surplus lol. With the bubba, black bubba and sage n sour I just LST'd them to get them to branch out this time but I'm a big believer in ScrOG. Right now I'm using maxibloom and some powdered kelp/humic-acid and going to try brewing some "super plant tonic" (it has good micro-beasties and worm castings etc). I'm sure there are a lot of good genetics in Colorado. I'm still going to order some bangi haze, malawi and golden tiger from Ace seeds.... because i think they're not mainstream and its not likely that I will find a cut. But Colorado rocks, even the snow is beautiful, not to mention the mountains and hippie/liberal influence that gave us some freedom in regards to cannabis.

airbud: there is some degree of gambling when popping seeds and that is exciting because you could have a plant that expresses a gene that is rare and valuable for the cannabis community (and perhaps the plant's evolution). Cannabis is certainly evolving like most everything else living. If you have a head stash there's not very many qualms of waiting for some tiny little seeds to grow for a month into something that finally looks like a plant. Life in general is amazing and plants of all types are no exception.
