I know what you mean. I was so depressed going through my divorce, then I met some other guys going through the same thing. It made me realize how easy my situation was. My wife found a new boyfriend and left when I found out about it. She didn't try to take half my stuff. She even left me a pile of cash since she felt guilty about the whole thing. With no kids involved, there was no reason to keep in touch once the divorce was official. You get over it faster if she's not a part of your life anymore.
I still think people can fall in love and stay together for a lifetime. I just don't think signing a legal contract is the best idea.

because the non-divorcee hasn't divorced yet, and you might be next on the list (not that I would get married, or get entangled in living with another person because of the common law)

she might be more calm
I hear that when women hit the 30s-40s that's when they start to have hormonal changes and want to get touched by other men
where as the younger girls are mainly looking for daddies

Everyone's different. My ex wife was 1 year younger than me (early to mid 30s during the marriage), and she was one of the horniest girls I've known.
