Favorite thing about your dispensary?

What's your favorite thing the dispensary\collective you go to has to offer?

What's some of the cool things you've seen a dispensary do that others don't.

Example, I like when a dispensary has an active social media presence. When they tweet new strains in, when rare meds come in, or when they get some new nice clones. I like being informed on what's available, without having to stop in.

As a grower, I don't visit dispensaries very often. The main thing I love about them is the variety. It's also cool being able to try strains before I grow them.

I cant actually say Ive ever had a good experience at a dispensary except for the fact that you can sample all the strains to get more familiar with each.
What sucks is usually they are poorly grown, chopped early and not cured and $50-60 1/8 for inferior product.
I dont fuck with their concentrates because Ive seen the quality of the flowers they are trying to sell! Who knows how terrible the stuff they used for the oil must have been!

I've had mostly good experience with concentrates at Harborside and Elemental Wellness. Not that I've bought much. The Kali Mist bubble hash I bought made me realize I should grow that strain. The worst one I bought was a gram of Thai BHO, but it was cheap and still pretty decent.

Gotta agree. Better to sample coffeeshop goods in Nederland....waaay better.

That reminds me... I did have a great experience at a club once!
They gave out free clones to ftp and I declined it. They gave me a hard time about it, and told me that they have to give them to each patient but I could give it away to someone in line.
Then I asked to see their bubba flowers. The budtender didnt know what bubba was and I had to tell her it was labled pre98 on the menu!
Funniest shit ever!
What they showed me was some brittle shit they probably got from a pack of ghs

I agree. Ever see a giant iso hash ball for sale with bits of crud sticking out all over it.

The best part about the Dispensaries near me? I don't have to use them.

The two great things about the dispensaries in my area are the availability of strains I haven't grown or tried before so after trying them I get some new ideas about what I want to grow. The second thing is they give me confidence because I've tried very few examples that are as good as what I grow; except for some exceptional Blueberry that one grower grows. Also I got to give props to some Blue Dream and some Blue Cheese that were also really well done. Great Blue strains that are well grown do it for me; got a cut of that Blue Cheese, grew it out and absolutely loved it. I've smelled so much hay though in those places that I've come to affectionately call one of my local dispensaries the hay loft.
It seems that a lot of people don't know how to dry properly or even make an attempt to try to cure their mj. Hell a good two weeks of curing will help most of the mj tremendously. It seems to me that a lot of the stuff is chopped down, dried for a few days and then taken to the dispensary to try to sell it and amazingly enough it's actually bought by the local dispensaries and sold. I guess they don't have to deliver stuff that is dried and cured well if the owner buys the hay from them. I'm sure in their minds they think, why waste the time to dry and cure it properly if the standard is so low that it will sell without doing those things.
I do want to say though that I've gone to really good out of town dispensaries that have a very high standard and actually reject the large majority of the stuff that is brought to them. I've had some exceptional stuff from those dispensaries and it's usually better than I can do.
So the two best things are the chance to get a taste of things that I haven't tried before, even if the quality of the end product isn't the best you can get an idea of potential. The other great thing is that it gives me some confidence and pride in my growing skills and when I try some really great stuff it lets me know that I still have a lot to learn.

The shop by my place is very nice to me, they have told me that I am one of very few real sickies that they have. They have given me so much cannabis for free, they have given me clones so many times. They have given me grow lights and a lot of care and friendship. I live in LA , and this place is not one of the lucky ones with the needed paperwork. The shop was opened just slightly too late to be included as one of the 'safe' ones. I do not understand how they do what they do, they are very nice people.
