Wow. F**k my life.:bashhead:
I for sure thought when i started reading this thread earlier today i was gonna see a finished "GD london 72" plant/bud.
Seeing as this thread started in '12.
I read through the whole thing and feel cheated.
You seriously should go back and edit the first page and put a disclaimer. "This thread goes nowhere....
slowly"

Sorry to be a dick, but i rarely have the time to read a thread and this one was a big waste of time.
Let me know in 2016 when you finally flower this shit out.

That's the first step admitting your a dick . Next step would be think before you talk/type

I remember joining the boards and reading about some guy Mega and this other guy going on a joint venture into the growing scene. That thread was a complete bunk but did merit value in the lesson in expressed thru the ill character of some IC Mag members. Everyone who joined the thread expressed sour comments in disdain for not receiving updates and action from the OP's. Long story short it showed anyone paying attention that there is no responsibility to post on ICMag - it is a privilege and pleasure to be able to view experience and join others on their journeys through grows with our favorite plant. This isn't a competition or a un kept promise. This is Bear Riots Thread and its perfect the way it is.

Cultivating plants is an art - yes it can be a science but its TLC that really makes a garden thrive - and the same goes to our friends - we all need support encouragement compliments love and so much more...

If the revival of some very old seed stock is some ones priority - hunt down some old stashes and get to work!

I do understand Pappy's frustration, but think about my frustration --- I chilled with this plant more than I chilled with any of my friends...

Damn I am itching to start these seeds. I think I'll try two or three of them this time. I'll let everyone know of course, but probably I wont be able to hold out much longer

Find yourself a big ol tree and scratch that itch, Bear... or is that the other way around? :D

Were you able to salvage the armchair? I hope so.

If everyone could grow than we wouldn't need this site, but most of the people come here to window shop and have no idea what it takes to grow something out. Who cares what "grumpy masonjar" Has to say. Keep doing what your doing as long as you get out of this site what your looking for nothing else matters. Personally people that make comments like that have no real friends and they sit on the computer trolling to act tough.

This is a great thread. Bear, I think there is a very good chance that "GD London 1972" means exactly what it seems to be; Grateful Dead, London, 1972. Even if GD means something else, it's still herb from London in 1972. What else could the label possibly mean? It's probably something unique that is worth propagating and saving. If I can ask one huge favor from you...please, PLEASE, grow out all the seeds, then do an open pollination with all the males and females, and make as many F2 seeds as you can. Then put them on the Bay. If you do this, me and about 100 other dudes will buy them, sprout them, and help preserve them. You only have six seeds to work with, so please understand how critical it is that you make seeds and get them out there on the market, ASAP! Otherwise, they will inevitably be lost. Good luck....I will be following along with much interest.

Candidly makes a good point, get those things pollinated and make more beans then you can experiment as much as you want without worry of losing the genetics.

This thread has always had people knocking, bringing up the origins of chemdawg, etc. Its not a big deal, just keep on growing and showing.

Haha yes most of the greenhouse is back to normal, and I was checking out that spot saying to myself, yes, the chair is going right here...picturing a couple of unpruned sativas....

Yes, this is what I have in mind for sure. Ive got the seeds, and I'm just waiting until a little bit closer to march to sprout them. I will be very careful with these, as they are a time-gift. Ideally I would get a mix of male/female and get as wide of a variety as I could, but Im not confident that all the seeds will sprout. If thats the case, or if I only get one sex, Im considering growing out several different Oldtimer's Haze plants, as they are highly pure ancient sativa genes as well.

Any info on your purple diesel? Shes pretty :)

Thats the first permanent member of my lineup. I bought three Soma NYC Diesel seeds, for something ridiculous like $45 each, but this was one of the three. Its an afghan leaning pheno with an extremely deep, fuely, musty ODOR...the taste is like good afghan hash, but she kind of smells like a basement. I grew her outdoors and moved it inside to flower, finished in 100+ days. Ridiculous resin and good effect. Heres a cured bud -

Bear, even if you only get one male and one female, that's plenty enough to make lots of useful seeds. Each plant does not necessarily need to be a "keeper" on its own; it will pass on plenty of useful characteristics to its offspring regardless.

Thats true, and I am hoping to get at least one of each sex. But in the event that I dont, a haze parent of either sex is the next best option I think. Here is a Haze mother I have -

Well, Folks ----

I just have to scratch that itch, as Wildgrow would say.

I have started three of the seeds, using the exact same methods as before.

Everyone think 'Two females and a male' at the same time.

:woohoo:
