denverpost.com January 28. The CO surpreme court will take up a case of a quadriplegic who lost his job for using MMJ off the clock. The court will establish if MMJ patients have a CO constitutional right to use MMJ. Because the laws for recreational pot and MMJ are so similar, the results might have implications for recreational pot. Oral arguments are this summer and results are later this summer or early this fall.

Being that Colorado citizens voted to add the law as an amendment to the Constitution, I can't see how the courts have the power to overturn the will of the people.

They shouldn't lose their job for using cannabis ON the clock. You want my best performance? I'm going to be using cannabis and that does NOT mean that I'm going to be inebriated or have lesser functioning because of it. Not as long as I have access to the strains I need.

What really needs to happen is for someone with lots of money to get wrongfully busted for DUI while using a non-inebriating strain of cannabis.

When it comes down to the testing procedures being inadequate to enforce anything and when the truth about CBD comes out... all this cannabis being treated like alcohol or narcotics on the job is going to change.

Keep it Clean! :D

Even though Colorado is deemed "LEGAL", it still is under judicial flow chart. If unfavorable decision is made (most likely)....next step is SUPREME COURT....that's land o' USA....and largely against cannabis laws.

However....times, they are a changin'. :)
