I got my Yubari King seeds in the mail yesterday. Those are some wildly sweet MOFOs. I put in a new redwood raised bed expressly for them this year. The seeds were cheap, but the ripe fruit once went at an auction @ 2 mellons for $22,000 in Japan. Im gonbna grow plenty of red and purple carrots too

Definitely getting the drop on spring here in the rainy PNW. Spring herbs, winter lettuce and hot peppers started under lights a couple weeks back.

for sure i learned a lot last year with the veggies, gonna do things a lot differently this year,at least one whole bed will be nothing but chili, the cantaloupes did really well, the cucumbers also did pretty good.this year the tomatoes will be in the big smart pots, one plant per 45 gallons, only going to have maybe 3 plants total....the main bed will be all herbs i think, maybe a crop of basil followed by some other herbs with a cuke and a summer squash on either end for the trellis, and a few rows of red and green scallions...who knows what else, got plenty of seeds still...

rode around and did errands on the trek, the new handlebars feel just right, only 4 cm wider but it makes a huge difference, looks like a set of good touring tires will be about 70 bux,and that much for a half decent saddle, should turn the trek into a good light duty touring bike and perfect for smaller errand runs around town....really starting to get the hang of this bike stuff! lol

"Leads? Yeah, sure. I'll, uh, just check with the boys down at the crime lab. They got four more detectives working on the case. They got us working in shifts. Leads?"

:tumbleweed:clearly i would gladly trade a few weeks of 100 degree days for not having to wear pants a single time again this "winter"
and i do get at least some right to bitch about the weather,i am out in it every single day basically,a wind you might not notice in the climate controlled plushness of your cars might really fuck up my day...

as soon as i get my bill trailer i will have the space for a kennel and then i will think about getting a dog,i love labs but im thinking a smaller dog would fit a bike lifestyle better, easier to travel with at any rate...
