SDgrower: What has happened is due to not having a good sized filter/dryer on the inlet most likely. What I've seen on rebuilds is small amounts of resin would build up in the piston ring groove causing it to stick in the groove. This keeps the ring from moving freely in the groove and sealing properly. Yours is probably filled with resin.

Now that the machine has cooled off and isn't running it will hold pressure perfectly since the resin is what is doing the sealing!!

Sorry dude, but a rebuild is gonna be in order if that much goop is drooling out the bottom of the cylinders...

After installing a very large filter dryer I've managed several hundred hours of run time without issues.

Last point, there are little copper shims at the bottom of the cylinders where you are seeing leakage. On rebuild they need to be installed at the same place Relative to the crankcase housing. Mark the lower crankcase with a felt pen where they came out. The cylinders might be tough to get off too, the resin will make them stick, heat them up with a heat gun.

Peace, RB

so where can i get one and for how much?

They need to be built by buyer (if I am correct), unless someone is making them. Biggest obstacle, is obtaining n-butane in 5 gallon, can with liquid siphon.

GW slap me if I am wrong!!! Have been mesmerized by this for months, but that one problem stops me.

Someone said that Glacier was going to produce tops, pre-made, on another site, for lil terp.

thanks Loc,
i have browsed a whole lot of that site, was hoping they were selling complete units already assembled
If you, have a "LOT" of money, Tamisium has units. Entry level is 1600 for basic unit. Goes "WAY" up from there. Could buy nice used car for cost of some.

I agree it is costly, but doing oncology work I think it would be very beneficial, I would like to test the healing claims

Skunk Pharm Research sells no Terpenators, but you might ask Specialized Formulations to assemble a Mk IIIA kit for you.

Benefits of the process and price of the equipment are not synonymous. When we ran the Lil Terp longside a TE-175, performance was about equal.

Tamisium makes a purdy unit that works well, but the whole reason for the very existence of the Lil Terp, was to provide equal performance at ma and pa prices.

Having done so, I haven't pursued or further developed it, because I personally believe that the non passive recovery Terpenator is a superior system, unless you are gifted with both money and time.

Thanks GW, I'll look up the Lil Terp at the Pharm

shoot! now that i have been reading all weekend my head is spinning. So, is the terpenator/MKIII a butane extractor? I kind of doddled back and forth between CO2 and butane and did not even realize i was jumping back and forth between threads here, the pharm and other forums.

Glacier has parts for no machining lil terp. Let convince to make the tops for MKIII. I do not understand the reasons for smaller pipe dimensions, and lengths.

Have all but lids, column, and g5.
