vac chamber seal?

Hello guys im from canada and have been trying to source out a good seal for my chamber. I have found 1/8 cork/rubber gasket material at the automotive store will this be an acceptable gasket??

I am using the cupboard foam as its all i could find. I do not know where to get the viton or even rubber gasket material from if anyone could point me in right direction I would appreciate it.

We use latex rubber tubing. Used for medical tubing, slingshots, and workout bands.

Walymart sell silicone matts for forks and knives etc i used a couple layers of the on my first homemade chamber lasted a long while.....

Think industrial. Check out Paramount Supply or Gaskets Unlimited. They mail, but there are no doubt similar places in Canada.
