anybody working with the apollo family? i love apollo 11 and genius but haven't sen them around as of late. i have noticed tga seeds has put out some Apollo crosses like apollo 13 and i believe i was told jack the ri[[er and jacks cleaner were related. anyone grow out any of these strains( from tga) im wondering if its worth the money to try some.

are you saying vortex is their flagship strain or jack the ripper? and is jacks cleaner the same as jthe ripper? i have heard that tga has breed some high potency hybrids of the apollo ine. does anyone have any experience with these or any other tga strains? again i hear they breed for potency so i am interested if its just hype from subcool or really is high potency gear. how does the flavour come through on the vortex/cleaner/ripper?
It's an A11 genius pheno selected from seeds. I still have seeds from years ago. It's part of a project I am working on I have the female, now I need to find a suitable male to re-up the seed supply.
Im working on some A11 hybrids right now.
A11 in general isn't the most potent strain but it has a very enjoyable high.

I find it potent myself but in a different kind of way. A11 in general isn't a knock you down, drooling on the couch type of high.
A11 has been in my summer time stash for years, it's my favorite weed for hiking. It's more of an energetic, thought provoking high that puts you in a good mood best for being active not as fun if you want to just sit around on the couch.
Im working on some interesting crosses with it now, heady, energetic sativa trip is what I'm after, also I have an IX planned for a little more in to spring time. If everything goes well maybe I'll send some to the server fund.
Have grown Subby's cut of Apollo 13 and Jack's Cleaner. Both are excellent. Love to have them both back. The Cleaner is almost in hand. Cannot speak for the beans though. Peace GS

I don't know if she is original seed stock or what , i only got her as Apollo 11.
(i did go back into the search function to find her and it seems she is about 10 years old now)
fast , dense buds.
smells like candied orange rinds, great all day, happy, care free herb.
you can take her anywhere around 7 weeks or so, depending where u like her.
she does me solid at 8 weeks.
took some shots, maybe an expert can weigh in and let me know if they think what i got is legit.
she vegs fast and tosses out mad cuts, alot of nodes with her.
dont mind the talc residue you see on the leaves, it's not PM.
finished bud shots.

i have a chance to get some cuts of vortex... im not sure what phen i should be looking for as far as appearence. i guess the more it looks like genuis the better... i think im gonna try and get some just to find out .. what do you guys think? any advice on the vortex?
Genius IS the mom in the cross, along w/ step-bro Cinderella 99. Apollo is more potent and offers a better range of tastes. (the pineapple aroma of the C-99 often comes thru)

Bros Grimm broke up about 12 or 15 years ago (not sure just when). Even at the time they were in bussiness it was very hard to find a pack of Apollo 13 because they didn't make many A13 seeds. Right after Bros Grimm went out, the last 3 packs of Apollo 13 were put up for auction at a special auction at Over Grow. One of the packs went to someone that must of put them away in his stash box. Another pack went to someone that got busted about two months after winning the seeds. I won the other pack for $500. I grew out the seeds and at about 6 ft tall, I breed all the males to all the females. I sent 50 packs into Cbay. The first few packs went for about $250 each and over some time the more that sold the less they sold for. I also gave away about 500 seeds. I gave a bunch to members of my special group. One member (CTG) made alot of seeds (maybe 1000) and did a very good job of getting A13 F3's out to people. CTG is the person that discovered the Apollo 13 Gorilla Arm Pheno. Soon after CTG got busted and lost all his seeds. CTG just got out of jail last year. You will find that most of the A13 seeds can be traced back to me. I still have about 30 A13 F2's and maybe 100 or so F3's. Apollo 13 when grown right and you take the right plant, it can be some of the most powerfull plants you can find. They need lots of love and lots of light and about 7 weeks of 12/12. I don't have enough post for my PM to work. Idiit, I'll get back to you, I hate to write, so I'm a little slow. Later, Stash
