Sorry just seen this. Yeah I'd agree.

Peace

Well I raised the led up yesterday and they seem a little happier today.

Easy herb, have you tried dialling down the extraction in the led tent, to push the ambients temps up a bit???

G81

The extraction is already on 2 out of 5 on the variac.

Led are a waste of time, damn things produce no heat and its not good for cold countries.

Led are only good for veging plants, if you want grow real plants you need hps!

That's just not true. My last run with this LED unit gave me 16.5oz! I wouldn't say that was a waste of time. And the quality was superb. Greens81 can attest to that.

The led Light intensity is too much for the size of the Plants revert back to the Hps/Mh for a while then change again when more root is established.

[WG pointed this out.. :). ]. And is the reason IMO too,100%.Ive not Suffered the same because of the speed of the DWC.Speeddemon probably wouldn't be effected too with the NFT setup he has.

I think its just the chem being extra finicky with the led. The pynamites I did last time went under the led when in 1l pots and only 10 days old from cut. No problems. These chems were around 20+ days and in their final 7.5 lt pots. They are rooting thru the pots like mad so they plants are certainly doing something.

Well when you consider that at the same age they would happily sit between my two gavita pro 600s at over 95000 lumens each, the led is really quite low.

These LED units are no way near that figure mate. That's in excess of a 1000w hid.

These are actually 32400 lumen. As detailed here...

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mars-1200...Bottle_Warmers_Coolers_LE&hash=item3cd685c14a

Price has dropped a fair bit and uk stock now also. Although mine arrive from china in 3 days.

But anyway, lumens mean nothing. Lumens are just a measurement of light for human eye sight. Plants, and we on this topic, are only interested in PAR over a certain range of colour spectrum.

Lumen: 32400lumen 'YEA' That's "Naff All!"... :D :
Then are the "more specific" light spectrums causing the young Plants dis-comfort/distress at their early stage d'ya think ???

Was it summer when you got a good yield from led?

Switch to hps for winter.

No, it only finished that run last month. Temps are very mild this year.

I also ran an led grow a few years ago, much earlier gen of LEDs. Still got a gpw. Just took longer than normal due to lack of far red.

Growth is good but still.. I've in the past (probably lol!)Vegged it in smaller 3.5l pots this has made it grow "abit?" slimmer and taller like the Chem sis was/is this has been pointed out to me also.

N.B Nxt time I'm gonna vegge it in a 11l fibre airpot then a 20l also will add a clip on fan for under the Canopy

Well,

After lifting the led up a further 6 inches the plants have really started to take off. So much so they are now on day 1 of 12/12.

Plants tied down, not going to scrog these. Just going to tie and snap.

looking really good now Herb, not got a 1200w led only the 900w one but appears with the 1200w light you need a good amount of root growth before the plants take to it.

WavyGravy

Its crazy when you think in real terms there only drawing about 500w hopefully one day they will quote the real wattage.
