Hi Whiskey! I'm ready when you are :nanana:
Whiskey and I have been talking about doing the Gainsville Green for some time now. I"m hoping we can put together a true representation of this old-time classic for those who remember it, and something new for people who like to try old classics.

Good Vibes partner !

Ive lived and smoked my way through Central Fl. off and on through the seventies and late eighties, through the ninties and still today.

I am pretty sure that the term Gainsville Green was an easily coined label to distinguish any killer local central Florida hybrids.

I do remember every year around Christmas time from say 87 through 94 a special local treat was available in great Quantity. This super Sativa was refered to as Christmas Bud, Gainsville Green ,etc...This treat was fluffy lime green Sativa with very pronounced pine flavors. For 1200 a pound you could not beat it.

Back in the late seventies I knew several growers in the High Springs area who had crops along the Santa Fe river and around the Northern shores of Newnans Lake.
Man them were the days...

Growers and smokers in Florida were and are blessed with abundent sunshine and lots of seedy shrimp boat Columbian, bricked Mexican and sticky Jamaican to find good genetic stock.

Correct, after Moonbeam, GG just like the term "crippy" after the Kryptonite strain, or Chronic, after Dre smoked the Chronic strain became loose term. Moonbeam is believed by many a seasoned head to be the original GG. Trust, when I say myself and MANY other BETTER known an respected breeders have researched and came up with Miconopy Moonbeam. We both, Krizz and I, as well as the individual who gifted these lovely beans are also FL natives.

G'ville Green! Nice bring back!

Gator Growl trips.....bumppin my tunes....while rollin down Archer! getting pulled over with jumbo steak-n-shake cups full of beer in the front seats and being let go! Running out of the stadium during halftime to hit the no2 tank in the back of the car! lol....brings back some good times!

killa

Sounds great Whiskey. I love the name. Miconopy is a very special place.
I spent months there doing Archaeological work on a bluff site near Paines Prairie.

Sorry off topic ...

I grew out Krips. OGKush and his Bubba and Leb 27.last winter. All superior to say the least.
The Krips OG is really special. I made many F2s or should I say f4s.
Here was my seeded OG Kush in a South Florida swamp last winter in early March.

So does this stuff taste like you rolled up a Christmas tree? I get some good bud in central Fl around christmas every year, like October to late December that is unbelievably piney in a good way. Always wanted beans of it.

Thanks guys! ALl 3 of us involved in this are from FL, so I assure authenticity...lol.

Glad there is some excitement! Promise to have it available to all...lol. If there is interest, may even let a few packs of each gen go...few pack of the F2s...few of the F3s....
dunno yet, there will be an extra quantity of seeds Im sure, even with the numbers we will run, lol

pics up after sprouting! germing tonight

I know you posted this a few years ago, but.....is there any chance u have any of the Moonbeam beans left? I am a native Floridian...North Floridian....St Augustine to Palatka and Green cove, I have lots of family in Ocala and Weirsdale. I am really proud of our Cannabis culture and history in this area..lol I grew up playing hide and seek in the Marijuana plants...lol My Dad grew huge beautiful plants in the Ocala national forest around lake Delancy as have many many many people. I am very interested in preserving, and growing these genetics. Please brother...it would be really cool if you could help...:):smoke:
