male plants

I've got 6 plants from bag seed. they are day 43 from seedling. all are showing sex--I can't id them positively. I am certain one is a female--she is a little smaller and she is showing the round to a tip, smoothe, like a rubber tip on a tooth brush. the other 5 I am almost sure are male. the little balls had a look of 'cantelope" in that they had 'lines'. the lines have opened up like a flower opening and are twisting/distorting.

so my plan is today to move the mails to a different room and switch them to 12/12 under two cfl bulbs, 19w, 1300 lumens each.

the female is going under a scrog fence. should the males revert to females , I might move them under the fence. if I determine that these male plants are actually male, should I consider growing them out and see what happens? can you get a buzz smoking males? can you make butter from males? just compost the males? thanks for replies.

I dont think it would be worth the trouble. You could make hash out of the leaves but it would probably be miniscule. And no they wont revert to females.

well, I moved the 5 and put on 12/12 just to watch and see if anything happens. With only the one left, I repotted her into my biggest pot, thinking I may get a better yield. but when removing from the old pot, half the dirt fell off with lots of new routes in in. So I guess I've shocked the plant pretty good, nut it's now under the scrog wire. i'll watch it for a week...

Do you have any pics? I am trying to identify the sex of my plants as well. Here is mine that I think is male. How do yours compare?

Anyone else have an opinion?

Op there is no point in keeping your males unless you have some sorta breeding program going down...
Kill them
If you put them back under the Scrog, they will spunk over your lady and seed her...you buds will be small, shit, and full of seed..you lady will put all her strength into makeing seed ...+ you would have to we're goggles when smoking a blunt,,you don't want a seeds blowing up and taking ya eyes out

I wouldnt worry about your roots (you just pruned them), just give her a week or 2 to grow new ones, and they will be stronger.
roots act much like the top of a plant when cut back. its kinda like your supper cropping your roots. they make a copper spray for pots that chemically root prunes roots. Smart pots and other types of containers air prune roots for you

ok, kill the males. I was just curious. there is just so much to learn!!! but now 24 hours later, I've got a 1/2 inch of growth on my one girl so it appears she ain't dead hey, I'm in FLa and we just got the word, med mj on the ballots next Nov

I left my males on 12/12 for the past 7 days. yesterday, I could see clusters on the top and through the loupe I could see all the little balls. so cut them off and into the compost. my one little female is coming along under the wire. she's got about 18" left to grow to fill the screen and then i'll flip. seems to growing 1/2 inch a day after a recent repot/root trim.

From what i read, Florida is only going to allow plants that produce less than .5% THC and more than 15% CBD. At least its a step in the right direction =] i store the male pollen sacs in the freezer for when i want to do crosses. Just keep them away from the females like everybody is saying
