Senator Joshua McKoon introduces bill SR 756.
A RESOLUTION creating the Senate Prescription of Medicinal Marijuana for Serious Medical Conditions Study Committee; and for other purposes.

HERE IS THE CALL TO ACTION FROM NORML:

CALL TO ACTION - for January 21, 2014NORML would like you to join us in support of marijuana law reform in Georgia

What: Press conference releasing Public Policy Polling poll numbers on Marijuana law reform commissioned by NORML.
Where: Georgia State Capitol- bottom of the Washington Street stairs outside.
When: Tuesday, January 21, 2014 promptly at 1:00 pm(we will begin gathering at 12:45)

We have commissioned a poll by Public Policy Polling (PPP) and will release the results at the press conference and would like a large coalition showing in support. We will then hand deliver the results as well as 5000 signed petitions to the Governor in support of ending marijuana prohibition.
Please forward to your friends list and encourage their attendance.

This has been all over the news for the past couple of days in Georgia. They are saying that it could be inacted immediately cuz Georgia actually approved MMJ back in the early 80's but never acted on anything (or something to that effect).

Sweet! I used to grow outdoor in GA and almost got killed doing it when some people showed up to steal my plants. People shouldn't have to hide and live underground. Can't wait until my barbaric home state of Fla gets their heads out of their collective assholes and does the right thing. The Governor of Florida should start moving the machinery that will sooner than later let all the good people(and especially minorities) they've enslaved with prison terms out of jail... with full pardons.

They should all go to a fiery hell for their sins.
 
We have a CBD bill like Georgia in the Wisconsin legislature. There is much research being done on the funding on these bills, as they are questionable in nature.

Overall any step to get someone their medicine in Georgia is a positive one, but this is big business taking a small step into the legal arena.
