Who's Using Botonicare Nutrients?

High All

I'm looking for any info, input and advice in regards to the use of Botanicare nutrients, specifically using thier supplements. I have my babies growing in soil and I'm currently using the pure blend pro for soil. Like any caring and nurturing parent I want to give my babies the best so I am now wanting to start using some supplements to my nutrient mix. Botanicare offers a wide variety and to be honest it gets confusing reading what each supplement offers and how it works with the other products. I have only been using Botanicare this past year and that was mostly with outdoor vegetables and flowers but now I'm using it for my indoor grow. I love that it's natural and organic based and that's why I want to stay with Botanicare.

Any help is most appreciated

Thanks

Redbud

Silica blast and liquid karma are their most important additives to use. Calmag when there are issues. Been using PBP for 10 years.

I left General Hydroponics for PBP years ago and eventually stopped using the Grow formula altogether and just use the Bloom formula from veg to bloom. I used WAY more Bloom than Grow, so I just quit buying the Grow. No additives.

Yeah, I'm lazy, but it works just fine for me

I've used a few of their products. I've been planning on calling them and complaining! So I decided to start my complaint about their products now. The bottles completely suck! Total garbage every bottle I've ever bought from them leaks when shaken! Leaks bad unacceptable, levels of leakage! I empty my Botanicare into old GH bottles that don't ever leak in my experience.

I use PBO pisses me off when poopy tea water leaks out when shaken!

Seriously heather? How hard are you shaking? Only time I have ever had bottles leak is when the are left on their side and the cap isn't screwed on tight enough.

3 bottles of PBO, 1 bottle Silica Blast, all leakers. I can't be shaking that hard, not enough to make the GH bottles leak. My PBO had a new label this time, still same leaks?

i dont use botanicare any more, except their cal mag when needed, but i used to run only this line and with the prp line the most important additives are, silica blast for cell strength, liquid karma for micro nutes and a boost, hydroplex during flowering for added bud structure and yield plus it has aminos and humic acids, sweet for carbs to feed micro beasties and extra metabolism and respiration (krebbs cycle) and, calmag plus depending on your medium.. its def a must in coco which is what i used it on. you should also use a myco product too. helps your roots out big time. i know botanicare makes one but it isnt the best bang for your buck. i go with either plant success's great white, roots organics oregonism or xtremes mykos and also their "azos" bacteria innocculant.

Thanks for the input all.
I was really hoping to hear some first hand experience with the Botanicare Supplements. I started to use the PBP because of it's simple one part formula but now I'm finding out that several of their supplements should be used as well. I'm not really happy with that but when I look at the other organic nutes on the market they too all seem to require adding supplements as well. Not that it's complicated to add the supplements but it's more money which I assume is part of their scheme.

keep on growing and Much good Luck to all

to be honest ive pulled runs with just using pbp veg and bloom and cal mag. it works just fine. that said, the liquid karma and other additives i mentioned will help you yield and quality. id say if yo want to be straight up organic, which the PBP line is nt anyhow, stear clear of their hydro plex and use an organic bloom stimunlator like green fuse. its fairly inexpensive and works well. you can use it during the whole flower cycle (except flush) which botanicare pbp does need. i dont think you need clearex for the flush though. just my opinion.

Liquid karma silica blast and cal mag along with hydroplex for weeks 4-7 of flower been treatin me nice in coco. Was ok without the karma, def noticed a dif when I added it to the mix!

When you take the protective seal off you have to make sure to remove it all from the top of the bottle.

I got all the seal from the bottle off. Just looked on my Silica Blast. I only kept that bottle because enough silica has been built up outside the bottle to stop most of the leaking. Well at least I can't see the leaking as much around all the crusty silica buildup leaked out. The bottles are junk! I still plan on using Botanicare Silica Blast and PBO.

I have to agree with you on the leaking bottles. I have been using these products for ten years and love them. I have had awesome results.

I'm a fan of PBP Pro grow & bloom, and Silica Blast is a must. I always have used their Cal/Mag +, but just bought a btl. of General Organics' CaMg+.
