SNAP . . . . CRACKLE . . . .POP, Wax Not fully Purged yet?

Hey I was just curious if I remembered what I read correctly . . . that is my wax / Budder is popping and crackling a little bit when I vape it, there is likely still some moisture or residual butane lingering around. Best way to get a full purge? Before I finally get a vaccum setup of some sort? simply time, steady low heat?

thanks in advance homies

Time 4-24hrs and low heat 85-110deg or so if you dont have a vac chamber. Well purged wax and shatter will still make a little sizzling sound when dabbing. Solvent bubbles are the best indicator for a complete purge. Check out skunkpharmresearch dot com for info.

I tested this theory.. and have noticed that water is the main culprit .. I took a dab and dunked it in water.. shit I knew that didn't crackle an pop.. and I dried it to the touch.. and look. an it still crackled and popped. so Ive come to the conclusion.. that a hot water bath and purge if not done properly and carefully will fuck your product up.. I am switching to sand as we speak.. just ordered a fat bag of sand because a friend told me to just preheat my pyrex blow directly into the pyrex and allow the purge n spray to happen at the same time.. once its safe to bring indoors.. use a sand bath.. I saw some shit about spraying into water.. and I can say I tried that with some old stems to see wat would happen. and it yielded oil. but its tooo hard to dry properly. its not worth it.

Agree it's the water that makes it crackle. It's not purged from moisture. You will need to heat it up. I do it on low heat for a few days. If there's tane still in it it will catch fire when you light it.

If you hold a dab to a flame, retained butane will cause a fire dance, and retained water will sputter and pop, as well as fire dancing.

retained butane doesn't crackle n pop as loud.. u can hear water easily . atleast that's what it seems like wen u try it with a normal Bic.. not a torch.
