We live up in the Santa Monica Mountains ...

My dog could not resist messing with the Skunk

He got sprayed from the other side of the fence

He stayed outside for a week, I think he knows better now.

I got sprayed on the inside of my left knee.

About midnight, this last summer.

Thank God the smell didn't stay in the bedroom ! I was inspecting the trap outside the back door when I heard the "Psssst" sound about 1/4 second before smelling the Best Skunk Smell.

I had been thinking, "I really shouldn't use the large trap to catch rats". NO KIDDING.


I used a clear plastic bag to corral the little guy so I could release it.

It turns out skunk scent is a dark yellow. Actually very close in color to the yellow ink on those 3 color "CMYK" printer ink cartridges.
