Too busy for all this stuff in these threads?

Jack's with tap water at 5.5-6.0 in coco all the way through works great and is very easy. Water once a day with full strength solution until you get 20%+/- run off. If you use 5 liters, get 1 liter out. Don't worry about run off pH, its depends on how new the coco is.

During the grow, once a month, flush the coco with new solution until 200%-300% run off.

To make mixing easy:

  • Add 1 cup (16 Tablespoons/48 Teaspoons) of 5-12-26 with water to make exactly 8 cups or 400 liters.

  • Add 3/4 cup plus 1 Tablespoon plus 1 Teaspoon (40 Teaspoons) of Cal Nitrate with water to make exactly 8 cups.
  • Add 1 cup Citric Acid to makes 8 cups of water. Keep the concetrates in 2-liter bottles.
To mix 5 gallons, fill the bucket with tap water, add 1/2 cup of Jack's 5-12-26 Concentrate and mix well. Then, add 1/2 cup of Cal Nitrate concentrate and mix. Then, add some Citric Acid to reduce pH to 5.8 or so, but don't sweat 5.5 - 6.0.

Coco can be purchased online in 3 brick blocks (Eco Earth) for about 5 including shipping. Use it twice, not 3 times. As for containers, Hempy works well and if you have room the City Pickers (home depot) holds 6 bricks (~10 gallons) of coco and is great for 3 plants in a 3'-4' SCROG.

If you get coco gnats, prepare the area with a flea spray before you put the pots in, so that they will get dead when the land on the tent wall.

Jack's can be found at jrpeters.com, its available locally or you can conveniently by directly from their website. Coco has gnats sometimes, a little flea spray on the floor/walls (not the ladies!) and they can take flight but are gone in short order.
