Auto-Fem Project

As the title states, I'm trying to make some auto-fems for this years upcoming outdoor season. I have a Lowryder #2 female that I'm reversing to pollinate an auto bio-diesel mass, four auto anesthesia's, and two more female LR#2's. Hopefully it works and I end up with a bunch of auto-fem seeds.

Sounds like some awesome hybrids and a great project!!

Thanks for the kind words. I actually just manually released some pollen last night. So tonight I will see if I have some babies on the way!!!! I'm super excited, especially since I have a wide range of pheno's with the auto anesthesia's. Now that I know that I can reverse a plant, I'm gonna make some auot-fems with some more expensive auto's that I have run before and they get huge. I have run Pandora from paradise and it makes the fattest auto nugs I have ever seen, let alone grown. Roadrunner#2 from dinafem grows good, the plants get big and the smell and taste is excellent. I think these two strains together in a fem version are gonna kick ass!!!!!! Auto Sweet Mango from greenhouse is another great producer of quality nugs, as well as Big Domina from Freedom of Seeds. Those four strains are gonna be my next project, now I just gotta figure out which one to reverse!!

Looking good frank.

I'm gonna guess you used CS to reverse? How long did it take to get those lil' pollen sack's...and finally..what was your ppm of the CS?

frankn2 - Yes, you are on your way!!!

I've run most of what you mentioned. Liked Pandora, although only got maybe 17" for me. Don't really baby any of the grows/hybrids I do, trying to see what average," no high maintenance" performs. Crossed White Domina with Ogre last summer....that will be my base for other auto hybrid strains this summer, being a rather large potent auto hybrid. Want to make sure it's stable before introducing to girls I want WD/O to 'date'....Hee! Hee!

Like the WOS Mango Ryder....nice to have a smattering of Brazil in the mix.

Keep us informed.

I used that tisierra's mist or whatever it's called. I was running low on it and had to wait for cs spraying to come in the mail. So I made a cs generator and used some soldering wire in distilled water. I sprayed the plant for two or three days with my homemade spray and the mist stuff for about 10 days before that. Basically I started spraying the plant as soon as I knew it was hitting the flowering stage. While I was waiting for the cs spray to come I still couldn't see any male parts. Then I got the bottle of cs(250 ppm min.) and starting spraying. Within 2 days of using the cs I had males pods. I don't know if it was from the mist, the homemade cs, or the store bought cs that made the male flowers form and show. I'm inclined to believe that all three had an influence since the mist says to use for 14-21 days or until you see male flowers. In the end I'm pretty sure it was just over 2 weeks for the ballparks to form. I think it may have taken longer than normal because I reversed then whole plant. I will definitely keep up with progress reports, and late spring/ early summer keep your eyes open for a thread devoted exclusively to "Frankenstein2's auto-fem outdoor extravaganza '14"

Nice little projects you have going on.

We like to start a batch ahead of time solely to reverse, 1-2 weeks ahead of the girls to be pollinated batch. Longer cycle plants you can get away with using plants from a single batch. (This is with STS though, and pollinating on a bigger scale)

Keep up the good work, all the best with the outdoor season. :)

So......things are moving along nicely. Pollen has been flying for about 3 days. So hopefully in a couple weeks I will have some seeds!!!! Woo-hoo!!!!!!

* Atleast all your seeds will be AUTOs :)

I have some Dinafem Lowryders going right now too. One of my favorites. I have some Nirvana NL auto pollen saved for the cross. I am waiting until they are 3 weeks from finish to pollenate. I find pollenating autos any sooner stunts their flowering.

Nice project, good luck

The project went as planned. I ended up with between 500-700 seeds, all auto's. Did an outdoor grow with a bunch of them(a little less than 100 of them). They grew pretty uniformly, with 2, maybe 3 pheno's(that's with the s1's and f2's). The outcrosses grew bigger than the lowryder pollen doner.

None of them got to grow to their full potential due to an overly wet spring/early summer and the slugs and snails got them pretty bad. I still have shit loads of seeds, and a bunch will likely go out in the late spring.

That was your intention, and sounded like a great success!! KUDOS!

Depends a lot on the strain you are growing. Three weeks is (our opinion) a bit late. Try it and report back. With autoflowers, they have an expiration date....once done, they are done and won't likely continue for seeds to mature fully.

Generally speaking, seeds take about 4-6 weeks to mature, with emphasis on 6....just from experience.
