i really wouldnt have thought that the power your using would be a problem,,if you factor in household appliances like dishwashers,,tumble dryers,,washing machines,,laptops etc,,then you could be using even more electric,,as far as i am aware as long as you pay the bills on time,,electric companys dont seem to care,,
i am aware things could be different up in scotland and find it odd that the company wrote to you just to say you were using more power then your neighbour unless it was a "save more energy" type standard letter,,good luck,,peace and regards 944,s2

My guess is that is one of those letters that look official...but if you call the number they will try and sell you on getting your house insulated--:tiphat:

Hey ashitmyself,

If they contact you again just mention you work from home and it's down to office use

They mite just be trying to feel you out to sell you something.

I'm in the uk and got a prepaid meter installed now there's no excuse for them to bother me except the odd meter check but I'm usually at work when they call so they leave a number for you to call them back to give the reading

I usually run between £30-£35 per week and have for years and I never had a problem.

Hope this helps

Not something to worry about. I probably use 200% more than my neighbors with pools. However I don't have a garden but my entire home is automated...and teenagers....

Do not worry about this. High electrical usage is NOT a crime. Also a 600w light n a fan isnt enough of a power draw to even qualfiy as high usage, unless mayb its out of a hotel room..
Also, just realized the op mayb from the uk or not in the us, if not
In the us then my info may not hold true.. I dont follow cases from outside the us very often
