SPG*

Bump!
Can i peak the brains of my fellow uk growers?
I´ll do it anyway.
I´ve just added what arrived has Nelly to my flowering room.
Did some of you guys grew these in the past, or is still running them? Are they heavy feeders? And when comes to finishing times and due relation with potency, any pointers?

Thanks in advance and i must say growing weed in the UK and all things related, being the friends left behind the main loss of my departure, is something that i hold very dear to my heart.

Thanks to all of you guys, you know who!

Someone say Blues? lol... my signature strain.
Love that blue skunky shit, frickin sublime...
Anyway there are a load of cuts in the UK.
As legend has it, the original clone was found up north
by Mr. Livers in some Skunk#1 beans, hence the name,
the Livers. I think in the late 80's early 90's? He has since retired.
Thie origianl cut is still held really tight but there are some clones out there.
locally its a cash cropper strain, here they cut it early and charge through the roof, still the people cant get enough...

Had a quick look in Verge's gallery. She looks very similar to Psychosis. Likely another old super skunk.

How does the high compare to Nelly, Cheese, Psych etc?

Peace

There she is^ note the foxtails, they chunk out at the end, week 9-10+ and the longer head bud., The C xNL will be more branchy with more smaller nugs.
They both stink something fierce. Proper oldskool skunks, uk stlye.
an yes she does look like Psyco...

The Blues high is dreamy and happy, body and mind stimulation all in one.
The Cheese NL hits a bit harder but is less tastey and has a more generic, mongey stoned( for me)
The taste of the c x nl does not transfer to smoke as well as the blues does... for me.
the Blues jar's are the ones that are always emptied first...

Hey bro, glad your doing well and still in the game :) I have grown Nelly and she enjoys her food but is very easy to grow. She stinks well so will need to make sure cf is up to it. Smoke is nice and couchlocky but very easy to become used to and build up a tolerance to, which is why I ditched it. Yeilds well best scrogged, stronger smoke after 9 weeks flowering.
The person who named it Nelly was Littlewitty aka Bigwitty when his mate gave him the strain which as I believe is a NL5 x UK Cheese.

Enjoy mate :tiphat:

Thanks to all of you guys. You make my heart all warm and fuzzy!
You know me, i complaint about how boring is the Cheese smoke but i never get enough of it.
Again i can´t/won´t follow these back to their origin but it´s going to be funny to compare their performance. I got Nelly, Blues, Psychosis, Suicide Cheese and Dinafem Cheese all running at once so my guess is that in the end i´ll have to make some selection in here.
I do look forward mainly to the Blues, because i must admit Cheesy weeds tend to be more introspective than happy.
Let´s hope their legit and i do them justice.
Thanks again for all the help.

Its a Nirvana NL male x Cheese. Verge didn't come back to the forum after he discovered that he wasn't the only person who had the cutting.

Livers has nothing to do with a man who's real name is Mr Livers. Anybody who say's that is so is far from the source as can be.

Mr Livers is an alias for the the head grower who lived or sold to the community at this housing development, he used the livers name for marketing a local strain being grown commercially for profit.

Wether or not it was being grown in the building complex is debatable but Mr livers and his crew, were selling the same cutting as 'blues' in the other districts to try to dissociate the commercial aspect of the strain allowing new areas of exponential growth.

Hence the two names

Verge is a spammer and blagger and nothing to do with original Blues!

New ICmagger here but I was a long time member of 'that UK site' until asking for my account to be closed a few years ago.I never got an intro to the fairy so it's really difficult for a suspicious, reclusive old sod like myself to get clone only vars. so I look for my own keepers and pass them to anyone that wants 'em amongst the 2 other growers I know.
I was passed a 'uk cheese' several years ago but I always thought it too fruity to be a the uk cheese which I had smoked at expos, and I had the 'white cheese' (apparently white russian x uk cheese) which I am pretty sure originates from my part of the country.I kept neither as I find the cheese crosses/types I have tried a bit boring in the head department, although I do currently have a cheesequake selection in the mum area.

I've always wanted to try the blues/livers but the main clone I want is the forum GSC cut,but I don't fancy my chances of getting either lol

Have you guys heard of 'the brixton'? reputedly a jamaican lambsbread type which takes several months to flower with a very racy high,it's not very widely grown but it interested me as soon as I heard about it.

I liked the Nelly Cheese had a bit more strength than some Cheeses the NL improved the yield and gave it a happier smoke imho. The Suicide Cheese looks like an old strain and is the closest in structure to Cheese but found it not particular strong. The Psychosis is nice to stronger than the suicide cheese and bigger yielder also. Give the Nelly Cheese the edge for the smelliest one. Not tried the Dinafem Cheese so cant comment on that. Tried a few different blues strains but wouldn't like to say if any were the 'original Blues'. If you get a nice one they do have an added flavour, Mack Blues tasted really nice after a cure found it to be the ultimate epression in bush growth didn't yield too well for me. There was the bs Blues which was quite nice although not as tasty as mack blues it yielded more though. Then theirs spg's Blue Meanie found that to be the most vigorous of the Blues with a nice taste but after smoking Chems for a while found the Blue Meanie to be more of a daytime smoke.
