Yes I was going to suggest a trash can, maybe one with wheels that would be nice since the last rez I had was a 50+ gal ice chest.. or maybe even a slim Jim would work.... thanks
I couldn't find a rez short enough for what I needed(flood and drain tables in a room with just under 6 foot head room), so I laid out some rubber roofing and put two plastic kiddie pools stacked in each other. It holds roughly 40 gallons, but it is only 10 inches tall. I plan on replacing them every other harvest, or when they get too dirty.
I just switched over to a 55 gallon blue drum that auto feeds my reservoirs but I was wondering about the water getting stale do I have to aerate the 55 gallon drum or should I use some type of circulation pump or both
Depends on the grow.. anything from square containers to 50 gallon trash cans. I like square stuff too.. easier to seal if I gotta run a float in the container.. or punch a hole in it for a line. etc..
I use a 550 gal black poly storage tank from tanks direct I believe? Or am i just getting confused from all the gas..
But I picked up a dope ass 200 gallon nalgene tank off craigslist with lid for a 100 bucks from some paint company. Took a little elbow grease to clean, but all that really was in it was some hard water deposits.
A for effort in the spelling of reservoir ; ) Those french ones are tough. I just became comfortable writing "entrepreneur" "repertoire" after using the words for at least 10 years.
Anyway, when I tried setting up a DTW system I used an 18 gallon "roughneck" tote. I had it outside the flower room with pvc connections on either side of the wall for connections.
I tend to my garden daily and feel comfortable hand watering. I bought all the parts, made a manifold and got it up and running just wasnt 100% comfortable with it yet. Im going to give it another shot next run. I like the multiple feeding capability with automated systems.
My biggest problem was finding a decent timer that worked with intervals of seconds.
