I keep seeing people say the government is loosing control........I don't believe that for a second. Keep in mind they don't want guns in America anymore, what better way than making 2 states legalize cannabis. You can't own a gun federally if you smoke pot.............Seems like a standard communist tactic to me. I am all for cannabis legalization, but not at the expense of the second amendment.

I think it requires a certain amount of misinformation & multiple leaps of Faith to reach those conclusions.

The DEA attempts to separate pot & guns at the level of selling & growing, not toking.

There are no statutory grounds to deny even med card holders CHL permits in Colorado, let alone Joe retail toker. The US SCOTUS let stand a similar ruling in Oregon-

I don't think the feds are going to bust anybody who's Colorado legal, either. They'd play Hell getting a conviction from a Colorado jury.

I sold all my guns to buy grow equipment!

Its not about being scared of what will happen when the legalization movement is in full swing. Its about these fucking adrenalin junkies missing out on all the easy money and toys they confiscate when they bust potheads....they'll have to go out and chase meth heads and junkies to make a living and that is what the fuck is scared of.

The agent repeated the tired fact that marijuana is a schedule 1 drug and blah blah blah. Then Fenstein says she believes it's a gateway drug and is bad, but then also says it has medical use for the terminally ill and babies! Am I tripping? She's making a case to reschedule marijuana.

good point there. that's half the problem with these types of people (prohibitionists, anti cannabis) they don't know what they are talking about. cannabis is a plant that is really a miracle drug for many people.

i think the only thing they are scared of is losing federal funding, their jobs, and that the majority of Americans disagree with them and will call them on their BS. the more they demonize it , the more arrests they make, the more money they will get from a paranoid government that believes them because they claim to be experts. and have "stacked" statistics to back up their claims while not allowing thorough, independent research that will undoubtedly lead to the scientific conclusion proving them wrong.

I keep hearing "there are more dispensaries than starbucks" like its a bad thing.

it makes sense if you think about it, i only drink coffee when im tired, but i smoke weed all the time.

that guy and his cronies are whack. is he saying he wants more Starbucks around to water down our culture(s) even more? we barely have any rights left as it is.

the above post is by grasslands is right on as well...

and i do believe the federal government is losing control to a certain degree. the recent gov't shut down seems to be an example of what is happening to the government because of congress. there is so much fighting between parties congress men and women either vote against something just because the bill is sponsored by the other party plus a lot of them don't even show up to vote on issues or participate half the time. alot of them (especially the talking heads) have already lost control of themselves wich innevitably will lead to the loss of control of their jobs and then the government itself.

hell, soon we will be the united states of china anyways. its also important to keep in mind the US is still a very young country with an obvious amount of internal problems that continue to go unaddressed. if we as a country would have just listened and followed George Washington's farewell address and not have a two party system (yes we do have small independent parties that don't stand a chance against the democrat and republican juggernauts) or alliances with other countries that get us into trouble. we would be much farther along and much better off. we have been at war abroad since pearl harbor, and at war at home since the civil war, if that's not a clear lack of control i dont know what is.

I can see it now every states "Marijuana Control Board" just like a" Liquor Control Board " in each state. It is just a power shift and going local the money is still going to be there. For what ever " AGENCY" come out of this. what we need to do is legalize growing.

I am not sure any of those legal standings have any say, but I will look into your claims, thank you. The one thing I do know is this, http://www.titleii.com/pdf/4473.pdf (federal fire arm form)Check line 12e. I will get to studying your links, thanks again.

...there is no doubt that the "intent" behind prohibition is almost 100% FINANCIAL.

...for those people that are enforcing the laws, once Marijuana is legal they will lose a lot of their money flow, and many will obviously lose their jobs.

...plus, imagine the black market, how much $$$ is being paid out to cops, and how much money is being made by cops through receiving bribes, stealing drugs, stealing money, and taking property from the drug dealers.

...that is some serious coin there.

...and I'm not even going to go into what CIA is doing globally

...fundamentally, the US government, as a structure is completely flawed, as 99.9% of the other world governments.

Think about it. The US government is simply a bunch of people like us that have complete access to OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY, and they can spend it anyway they want. Plus, they can borrow and go into DEBT, and spend that f*cking money anyway they want also.

Taking into account that USA is currently 100 TRILLION USD in debt (federal debt, individual states debt, personal debt, social security, medicare, etc, etc, etc) and is barely able to pay the monthly interest rates on this debt of around ZERO PERCENT, while continuing to go deeper into debt on a monthly basis...

...imagine what will happen when this Governement DEBT Bubble finally blows the f*ck up, hyperinflation occurs, and interest rates climb to 10% to 20% per year.

That will be the end of the dollar and the US of A - as we currently know it.

I don't know what will happen during that MELTDOWN, but it will not be pretty, and will make the 2008-2009 Financial Crisis look like a walk in the park.

The USA and the majority of its citizens will HAVE TO declare bankruptcy, and the USD will lose its status as the world reserve currency.

This is WHY Obama wants to take away the GUNS.

I think that once this happens (and it is only a question of when, and not if) we will see the US change into something completely different than it is now or has been in the past.

I think in the long-term it will be better for the country, but the pain in the beginning will be ENORMOUS folks.

And the reason it will be so painful is because in 2008-2009 the Federal Government avoided this meltdown by allowing the Federal Reserve to start-up the press and press TRILLIONS of USD, and inject this money into the economy by taking on FEDERAL DEBT, that they later spread around and called it BAILING OUT the Institutions that were TOO LARGE to fail...

...like the banks, car producers, etc.

...while regular America Citizens were kicked out of their houses and kicked out of their jobs!!!

worked in gov since 18

married for 30+ years

6+ kids

that alone tells you no reason to listen to this guy

I'm somewhat jealous about the marriage thing. :) Mine didn't last that long. I know not to listen to this guy just from what he says about weed.

They keep repeating "..I believe this, I believe that..", so no real data, just faith.
So typical, their brains are wired against cannabis and they will never be able to unwire it. Even less capable of understanding the matter.

Ignorants is the word.

I think you mistake ignorance for blatant deception.

this seems like a reasonable concern

it should scare the hell out of them because
they have nearly a hundred years of explaining to do, hundreds to
thousands if not millions of deaths to explain hundreds of millions of
lives disrupted to explain ... i suspect they truly fear nuremberg
style trials for the crimes they have committed and truth be told that
is the _least_ they and the champions of the 'war on drugs' deserve
especially in light of the facts that we know they are working both
sides of the fence.

DON'T STEP ON THE GRASS, SAM

From the 1968 release "The Second"

Words and music by John Kay

Starin' at the boob tube, turnin' on the big knob
Tryin' to find some life in the waste land
Fin'ly found a program, gonna deal with Mary Jane
Ready for a trip into hate land
Obnoxious Joe comes on the screen
Along with his guest self-righteous Sam
And one more guy who doesn't count
His hair and clothes are too far out

While pushin' back his glasses Sam is sayin' casually
"I was elected by the masses"
And with that in mind he starts to unwind
A vicious attack on the finest of grasses

Well it's evil, wicked, mean and nasty
(Don't step on the grass, Sam)
And it will ruin our fair country
(Don't be such an ass, Sam)
Well, it will hook your Sue and Johnny
(You're so full of bull, Sam)
All will pay that disagree with me
(Please give up you already lost the fight, alright)

Misinformation Sam and Joe
Are feeding to the nation
But the one who didn't count counted them out
By exposing all their false quotations
Faced by a very awkward situation
This is all he'd say to save the day

Well it's evil, wicked, mean and nasty
(Don't step on the grass, Sam)
And it will ruin our fair country
(Don't be such an ass, Sam)
Well, it will hook your Sue and Johnny
(You're so full of bull, Sam)
All will pay that disagree with me
(Please give up you already lost the fight alright)

You waste my coin Sam, all you can
To jail my fellow man
For smoking all the noble weed
You need much more than him
You've been telling lies so long
Some believe they're true
So they close their eyes to things
You have no right to do
Just as soon as you are gone
Hope will start to climb
Please don't stay around too long
You're wasting precious time

Repeat Chorus

they are gonna loose money and are scared. busting potheads has been really profitable with little losses for the man.

This may seem like a desperate attempt by the dea, but if you read carefully, his words were all chosen to continue the brainwashing lies with no actual facts. I would go toe to toe with this guy with all the facts anytime anywhere and still they would deny the absolute facts. Hypocritical idiots who will now go home and suck down some wine with his steak as the real gateway drug(alcohol) is consumed by thousands of underage kids and many will be hospitalized or die. Happens everyday with alcohol, not weed. Also his choke up at the end is also planned to tug on the brainwashed emotions of still so many in this country including my parents and my mom who when stressed would take a zanex or drink, but when I told her I smoked she cried, she is that brainwashed as so many here still are. Very, Very sad for all. This country needs the facts about cannibis plastered everywhere for all to see, but hard with a media that is also brainwashed to for the most part. Really makes me mad cause I have many friends, DEAD, from alcohol alone and our country is in insane debt, yet we should listen to them. SR
