Awesome job Pappy......
At what % of amber trichromes do you prefer to harvest at?

Tbh i usually dont check with a scope anymore, unless its a longer flowering strain that im unfamilar with. I usually just wait until the hairs turn orange/red/brown all over and then curl down onto the buds. I find that as soon as all the hairs turn orange/brown/red and curl, there's about 5-15% amber, depending on the strain.
If i was using a scope, in general id shoot for something like 15% Amber, 50% cloudy, 35%clear. But what i want to see, depends on the strain.
If its a mostly Sativa(NLD) strain , i wanna see maybe 30% Amber, 60% Cloudy, 10% Clear.
If its a heavy Indica(WLD) Dom, id like around 5-10% Amber, 40% Cloudy, 50-55% Clear.

Thanks for stopping in bro!:tiphat:

Thanks!

Heress a small update.

GDP x PT#2 clone. (im curious if this one is more potent than #1. Ive heard double serations are supposedly an indicator of higher potency)

Fuck yeah man, the GDP x PT #2 looks friggin awesome, and I really like the GDP x FAM cross as well. Very cool creations man! Well done. You'll be smoking your very own pappy buds soon enough :D

Never really heard about the double seration theory... out of curiousity I scoped my mothers and males which were nearby and actually only saw the trait on two males, my Sour Bubble and Querkle dudes, entire blades on my Querkle stud were crazy double seraded... never actually noticed. That'd be cool if it's true but... :dunno:

Your GDP x PT#2 is certainly a resin factory, that's for sure!

Those plants are looking proper pappy! I have also heard that double serrations is a indication of potency. I know Dank Frank has mentioned this trait in some of his post I am not sure if he was referring to the blue lines or just double serrations in general. Very nice work either way pappy both crosses look great lets hope they are great smokes and flavor.

My blueberry He/She female that I found in Dutch passions blueberry line had double serrations as well as female pistils. Well I just popped a seed from a cross I did using He/she male with a nortern lights blue clone the thing just shed it's shell and has a nice violet purple stem so far so good let's see if she is gonna be potent. Just sucks because I hit that female clone with the he/she pollen and only got 3 beans.

When i pulled it out of the corner and got a better look at it, the buds aren't as purple as they looked in the corner. but theyre definitely still pretty lookin.

I appreciate everyone for all the positive vibes and kind words.
Ill will be back in a couple weeks with dry nug shots and smoke reports.
Thatll be the real test.

Oh my! You got it going on over here. Gdpxpt, i wonder what the buzz would be like? Gdp is likestraight indica right? And pt high octane wakeandbake,,, great hybrid.

And about the thorough drying of brush when collecting pollen.
I havent done any chucking, but i did once try to colkect pollen from a male that was dropping pollen in veg. It was winter and very dry, i remember misting him down daily lol. Then i came across some posts about how to store pollen and just lmao when i realised that i had made it completly nonviable.

What's up man? Lookin' nice and dank over in your corner! Was this your first pollen chuck, I think I read? Gonna be doing my first one here in a few weeks. Hoping this opens a whole new aspect to growing for me.

Can't PM or even post a visitor message yet, but no worries bro about that other thread man I didn't take it as a personal attack or anything... I was just pretty short fused this morning, think I'll avoid IC before my first cuppa' in the future, seems I got on the wrong side of a few people today without intending to.

Thanks man!!:tiphat:
They were fun plants to grow.

Exactly. GDP is supposed to be 100% indica. and the PT is mostly sativa. Ill let you know about the buzz soon!

Its so important. Its also crucial to remove all male flower parts that are in the pollen before you dry it. The water from the flower parts can ruin the pollen.
After growing these out i really really wished i hadnt botched this impregnation. From the look and smell of these i really think something extra special could have been found. Its possible its in one of these but id love to have 300 chances at the lottery as opposed to 3.
I wont ever make that mistake again though.

Its not my first. But its one of my first. And its my first successful growout of any of my beans.
I made a cross that i tried to grow out a while ago, but it was a hermie disaster. The plants were some of the frostiest ever before i had to chop them though.

And about that thread, dont sweat it. It was more of a "straw that broke the camels back" type thing. And like i said, your single post wasnt the cause of my reaction, nor the thread being binned. No worries at all.
Definitely DO make some crosses. Its fun for sure. I got about 6 big males throwing dust right now.:)

Heres a quick shot i took of the GDP x PT #1.
picture.php

Ill take a bunch of good ones in a couple days when i smoke some. I hung it for 5 days and its been in jars for maybe 5. So ill be trying some soon.
I usually like to hang it for 7 days, but the humidity is around 0% right now so it dries super fast.
The GDP x PT#2 and GDP x FAM look amazing. I hope my shitty point and shoot camera can do them justice. I need to get a macro.
#2 and FAM are some frosty buds. Most calyxes on the GDP x FAM are completely white looking from massive trich coverage. #2 aint no slouch either. Frosty and starting to smell better and better. I picked up some gummi worm notes comin out of the jar when i was burping today.
