i want to address this because it really frustrates me when we have a great recource like the ic boards and people either get on their high horse (and that horse's eyes are red and barely open its so high) or just straight up judge you with out even know what they are talking about.

i would say most folks here on ic are good, compassionate people who are here to learn and help others learn (teach) and that is why i love icmag so much... my question to you is (in your opinion) what makes a flamer a flamer and why? is it jealousy? ignorance? frustration with their own life? what would cause an unprovoked flaming session and why do we tolerate it? i love it when i see people come to others defense in the spirit of community and compassion. what i dont love is when someone starts hating on someone or rediculous reasons. maybe this is more of a rant but i would like your input. hot heads need not respond.

I do think a lot of people are frustrated with their lives, for whatever reasons, and they use the internet to vent. The look for any little thing to set them off. You can see it on news sites as well in the comments sections with all the stupid political fighting. Their form of release I guess.

i do agree that no matter what the situation, someone is going to complain about something. i also think it is a form of release for people with pent up frustrations or self inflated ego... i suppose its just like how there is always that one drunk guy picking fights at a bar.

"god only knows" i dont believe in a just "god" so if there is a god, which the older i get the more i doubt the existance of one (i had serious doubt from a young age, i dont think she/ he knows. i feel like if there is a god like figure he is looking down and wondering what the heck went wrong. i can imagine it saying to itself "the plan was so simple. live and let live peace and brotherhood. how could they mess that up?"
no offense to any christians and all other religions who believe in God. i may not agree with you but i do respect your beliefs. i lean towards buddhist philosophies (not a religion) as well as a mixture of other spiritual beliefs. i dont consider myself religous but i am spiritual. for those interested check out the church of reality. just google that and i will take you to the boards as well as a plethera of information that doesnt require faith... hence the reality aspect. its an atheist/ agnostic, herb loving site. they use it for spiritual purposes just like many of us do as well as medicate. have i said i love cannabis? it really is a miracle drug. and yes i used the word miracle on purpose

no, the point of this thread was to address flaming on the ic boards period.i have been a member here since OG was shutdown and things have gotten worse and worse. i wasnt advertising, lol. i just was baked and got off topic. my fault. the only affiliation i have with them is that i recently registered to be on their message boards.

getting flamed on a flaming thread, how ironic. we should be above needless pissing contests and remember why we are here. the love of cannabis, to teach, learn, and socialize. im all for, and i myself enjoy good banter between people having fun but there is no need to be a prick about things just to be a prick.

and i do agree with mrc in the extent that you definatly know someone is wrong or you are restating a known fact. there are 5 levels of ignorance , if you don't know them learn them...

1 Zero order ignorance: Lack of ignorance;
Which means, Knowing the Question, and Knowing the answer. There is no ignorance.
2 First order ignorance: Lack of knowledge;
Which means, Knowing the Question, but not knowing the answer
3 Second order ignorance: Lack of awareness;
Which means, Not knowing the Question, nor knowing the answer. But knowing the problem
4 Third order ignorance: Lack of process;
Which is, Not even knowing the problem, but realising there is something wrong. Or that things are not working right
5 Fourth order ignorance: Lack of ignorance about the orders of ignorance.
This means not knowing even that there is something wrong and having no idea how to resolve the issue
